1G Which ECU will work?

Hello I have a 1991 eagle talon tsi 5 speed standard the ecu is not working I have 1991 tsi 4 speed auto and a ecu from a 1993 tsi 5 speed standard will either of these work

The 93 manual should work fine. The only difference might be the speed limit reg if the other ecu is out of a fwd tsi.

All the ecu are from awd the car has been sitting for about 5 years it seems to run well with the ecu from the 93 but cuts out a bit when you try to rev the engine have replaced the fuel pump and fuel filters clean the throttle body

You need to use the 5speed ECU. The auto ECU is setup to run smaller injectors (5 speed are 450cc and auto injectors are 390cc) and the fuel pressure regulator is different also (5speed is 37 base psi and the auto is about 45 base psi).
