wierd manifold

i bought a manifold offline, and i got it and it wasnt like the picture. the spot for the wastegate is right above where the turbo is supposed to be bolted on. in the pic, the wastegate spot was to the left. will this affect any performance?

Shouldn't at all. Instead of taking the pressure of one runner it is taking it off all the runners.

i hope not. i was looking for small wastegates, or flat ones, but theres not really that many that are "flat" and good quality.

Ya i hear ya. A small tial should work though. You have some room to play with. If it don't fit send it back .

They're making an even smaller TiAl wastegate now too, couldn't find the link to it though.

I kno its about performance...but I am also about looks...the new Tial 38mm compact is hidious...it looks like a PUG...the little dog that looks like Mike Tyson punched em in the face...they are ugly as hell...looks like a giant steped on it...

what does it matter what it looks like, it could be a stinking turd as long as it was practical. As far as looks, the new 38mm looks 10 fold better than the older 38mm wastegate, the older one looks like a giant mushroom head.
