wierd idle issues please help

just have a idle issue that i cant figure out. i drive into town and it sits about 700rpm at idle then i get on the freeway for about an hour and then get off the freeway and the idle is stuck at like 2k rpm it will drop once i put the a/c on, but once i turn it off it shoots back up to 2k rpm. also somtimes on the freeway i have the a/c and somtimes not but i dont know if that matters. thanks again for any help

ISC or FIAV would be my first guesses. Have you checked the ISC?

do you have a short air intake. i had a problem with the intake rubing on the wire harnes and shorting out my computer
