Hey guys,

Ok, so ive been meaning to get off my ass and tune a little since i purchased v3lite before it had sliders and none of us dsm'ers around here knew exactly how to use the DA portion to dial anything in. since the updates (thank you to all the link crew for puting the sliders in) ive been meaning to go back to the stock maps and tune soulie on sliders but haven't had the time. well tonight i ran accross a thread where the evo8 maps were discussed and was intruiged on seeing what they would do with my setup considering the evo8 has more compression than my 190k mile 1g. So after carefull review and comparison to my current tune i decided to give it a shot. i ran the stock evo8 tune and was way to rich for my liking (instant backfire as soon as i let off) so i tried the moddified tune since it was recomended for faster spooling turbo's (e316g) and that wasn't much better, felt way slower so i loaded the gsr maps and got knock but my a/f was way better so i mixed the gsr fuel maps with a combination of the other timing maps and mixed and matched fuel and timing maps but had no great results. At more than one point i had realy bad popping and sputtering so i got out of it. It even went as far as killing my duty cycle completely for a split second...

I just need help figuring out where i need to be and what i should do as far as running a good basemap to tune the sliders off of because as it sits now im no good with the da tables and have a mix match tune between the maps and sliders...

here are the logs i got out of the night... the dsm vs dirtymax is the tune im running currently with minimal knock and plenty of pull to it...

My suggestion is to return to the stock 1g fuel map and 2g timing map as it is not as aggressive as the 1g map. Then go through and adjust the airflow sliders in accordinance with jeffgst's website. Once your boostest matches the actual then you can begin fiddling withthe DA maps.

as far as i can tell i have the airflow comp set pretty well, trims are staying at 0 +/- 4. but what website are you refering to?

does anyone have the 2g timing maps for v3lite?

ok, well i went out tonight and loaded the stock 1g fuel and 2g timing maps. first pull was way rich and backfired alot, i pulled ~10% fuel and made another pull and the difference was night and day but still on the wet side so i pulled a little more and got my a/f to about 10.9-11.0 right where i wanted them and added a little timing. My car seemed to love it. I don't like the 1g timing map, way too aggressive for anything but the basic stock setup. here's the last log i made after all was said and done.
