need help with tuning issues

i recentlt bought a 95 gst,and i replaced the head gasket and timing belt, and had a huge intake leak and was able to find it thanks to the help of fellow dsmr's on here.ever since i got the intake gasket fixed, the car seems to be running real rich and smoking alot, it doesnt seem to be coolant or oil smoke, but its real rich and will burn your eyes if you are behind it. also i tried pulling the engine codes with the ignition switch but i got nothing at all, the cel didnt even come on during the test. i think the previous owner said the car had been tuned before, but im not sure. i would appreciate any help u guys can give me. im trying to get this car back on the road this weekend

sorry about the info, the car has a 16g turbo,larger fuel pump, not exactly sure what size but it is upgraded from factory, it has a aeromotive FPR,huge front mount intercooler,hks BOV, and as far as internals im not sure, i am new to the dsm game so i dont know anything about tuning these cars, i dont have anyway to tune it, but iwas just curious why im not getting any codes from doing the switch code retrieval.
