1990 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo

So I was driving down the interstate when all of the sudden my stock Temp gauge went crazy and started jumping all over the place. I wasn't far from home so I kept driving.

once I got home the Temp gauge pinned its self all the way past H. and I turned the car off to go inside quick...

I came back out got in the car went to start it....Click...click...click.... Nothing was happening when I went to start it. but all the lights stayed on...finally after few times of trying it it finally started.

once I pulled the car into my garage I turned it back off....but then I noticed my Starter was still attempting to start the car. I pulled the Key out even tried killing it with the Turbo timer. Still going so I jumped out of the car and pulled the battery terminal off and it finnaly stopped. I put it back on and everything was ok...so I tried starting it again and it did the same thing.

What the #### is going on and how do I fix this???

Has for the overheating issue you need to check the temp sensor in the radiator, which controls the fans and speed. While checking this out check the following the fuse at the battery box fuse holder, the relay, if in doubt check the fan directly (run 12v to fan make sure the fan is working).

are you ADD? because you really need to read the whole Original Post and not just bits and fragments

I said nothing about over heating.

My temp gauge was spazing and a I assume it was a bad connection.

It wouldn't jump from running temp point in the gauge to all the way Cold to all the way HOT in .00002 of a second if I was over heating

I made my own connection on it and its better now. I think the old one was just messed up. It was all bugerd up and nasty.
