Ok heres my delima, I just replaced the head gasket on my car over the weekend. After rpelacing the head gasket I have 2 problems, the first problem i have is the car is hard to start when its cold. I have to crank it several times and let off and then on the 4th or 5th time it will start right up, its almost like i have to prime the motor for it to start. The second problem I have and im positive they are related, I have a CEL that only comes on after the car has been driven for a few minutes, when the light comes on I cannot pull a code from the CEL light. Any reason why i have a CEL but cant get a code from it ? I really need to figure this out so all help is appreciated, Im positive if i could get this code off the ECU then it would tell me why its hard to start !?

it sounds like you are having a fuel related problem. first i would check fuel pressure. if fuel pressure is ok i would then lean toward it being the fuel pressure solenoid. its a little sensor on the driver side firewall. it has 2 vaccuum lines coming out of it, one goes to the intake manifold, the other to the fuel pressure regulator.

since this is a sensor tied into the ecu it would trigger a CEL.
