I recently put dsmlink in my car and it ran great for about 2 weeks. Now I am having some troubles starting the car. The ecu makes a ton of noise when I try to start the car only when it is cold. It takes me like 5 to 10 tries to start the car before the clicking of the ecu goes away. When the car is warm it starts right up with no noises from the ecu. After about 5 hours of the car sitting it reverts back to the hard start. The next problem is, the car runs great until it gets warm and then the check engine light comes on and it dies. CEL codes, 11 oxygen sensor, 12 airflow sensor, 14 throttle position sensor. I can start the car back up but it is like a bucking bronco for about another minute then back to normal with no CEL. I have replaced and tested the engine coolant temp. sensor twice now and know it is not that. Input?

Have you pulled the Ecu apart to make sure nothing shorted in the ecu? Also inspect the wiring going to the ecu if you stressed it and shorted a couple wires could make life not so fun for you.

Regarding the O2 sensor, is it new, with good connections? How do the wires look where the wires come out of the sensor? Any pre turbo exhaust leaks?? Regarding the airflow sensor code, any vacuum leaks? Good connections at the plug? Do a boost leak test to confirm there are no leaks. The throttle position sensor may just be in need of adjustment, and inspect the wiring here as well. It seems to me that you may just be experiencing a configuration issue in Link that may be causing the CEL codes, but your ECU may be jacked as well, though if it was rebuilt at ECMTUNING, you can likely rule this out. I do know there are a couple connections in the harness where the ECU plugs are that tend to go bad and will cause your clicking issues and perhaps the error codes as well. These connections are no more than a small piece of crimped metal with tape on them from the factory:rolleyes:, and can begin coming apart. If you follow the harness about 15" back from the ecu plugs and unloom the harness there, you can examine these connections.

No boost leaks period, just did all that before I intalled the link. I really think that it is a wiring issue I have going on here. Thanks for the information about undoing the loom tape from the ecu plugs. I will look there next. I took the ecu out of the car and everything appears to be fine.

Just to be clear about the unlooming, you dont have to begin at the plugs, as the connections to which I was referring are actually where the harness goes under the carpet and the "rubber" cover, so you can start there and the connections are a few inches back. Just trying to save you some work:thumb: I had this problem myself, but its nothing a little solder and heatshrink wont fix.

So I found that the #21 pinout CAS sensor wire was disconnected. Hopefully this fixes my problem.

Why did you replace the temp sensor when no code came up for it, I just dont under stand why you thought this could be the problem? Also I would mount the ecu somewhere, where the wires wont be disturbed by hands or feet, just so there wont be an issue with wires getting pulled.

First coolant temp sensor was nasty and it had thrown that code a few times. The second one was bad from the factory. The ecu is in its stock place, Kchaazz nailed it on the head! Disconnected at the loom behind the ecu. Must have been when I pulled the ecu out to put the chip in.
