I just bought a 1g eclipse gs-t, my car keeps on dying after it starts up and it's hard to start too. My dad and I have checked almost all Of the electrical connectors replaced my plugs and coil, checked my injectors, fuel filter an it still barely stays started and I can floor it and it will very slowly go up to 2k Rpms but that as high as I can get it....Please Help

I have a 2G but I'm having a similar issue. Did you check the fuel pressure. If It's not around 30.5 psi running then you have problem with the fuel line. I could be wrong on the psi but you can check the forums for the exact psi. Needless to say I would check the fuel pressure.

Oh if it is your fuel pressure it's most likely your fuel filter or fuel pump.

That sounds like a number of things. Could be bad sensors, or any little thing (tps, isc etc..). Have you done a boost leak test? Is you bov recirculated? What mods are on it? Is everything hooked up right? Have you blew a ic pipe off? Thats some ideas to work with.

Clogged Exhuast can cause this as well!! easy way to check, pull your down pip off the turbo flang and try starting it.

Fuel pressure should be 43.5 psi, but I don't think that's your issue. Was the car this way when you bought it, or did you make a modification that may have caused it? Last time I had an issue with flooring the car and only getting 2-3K RPM was when my timing belt had slipped a few teeth. With your crank pulley mark pointed at TDC, the marks on your cam pulleys should align with each other at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and the top of the cylinder head (if the the valve cover was off). It may take a couple of revolutions to get them lined up, but if they never do, that may be your issue.

Cam sprocket marks

^ Agreed, check your timing. My Tsi is one or two teeth out of time right now. It idles like sh*t and won't rev past 2k either.

I bought the car doing this, It won't be any of the sensors because I've checked all of them for correct voltage, I was also thinking timing is off but haven't been able to check it, would it make a big difference if the MAS and wastegate actuator/solenoid or whatever is gone I will post an engine pic if i can and all of this came this way, and thanks for all of you tryin to help me, this isn't my first Dsm but it is my first turbo one so I don't know much about the 4g63 engine

I also don't know if my bov is recirculated sorry for sounding like such a newbie, I don't know anything about turbo setups all I made sure to check was that no pipes were missing or not connected

The timing would have to be more than 2 teeth off to cause serious problems. The guy I got my TSI from didn't know what he was doing, and the timing was off 2 teeth. I was driving it like that, after I got it running of course. I had the same problem. My fix was the FPR. A easy test is to use vise grips to clamp off the fuel return line from the FPR, not completely closed, but so only a little fuel can pass thru. If it starts then, then thats the problem.
