I'm looking at getting a Wideband for my Eclipse and I'm stuck between two choices. The LC-1 with the DB gauge and, AEM UEGO. I've been reading up on widebands and what people have to say and these two seem to be the best for my price range. Say you could get both for the same price which would you go for? I've heard good things about Innovate but not much about the DB gauge itself. Do I need a better gauge than the Innovate DB to take full advantage of the LC-1?

I have the Innovate LC-1. I use one of its outputs to log WB O2 and the other output is set to simulate a narrow band O2 sensor. With the LC-1 I'm able to adjust the narrow band switching point to raise my closed loop AFR to about 15.5 instead of the normal 14.7. This has netted me an increase in my gas mileage without sacrificing anything that I can see.

Ok thanks for the opinions. I saw the shootout when I was searching through the forums about info on widebands. I'll more than likely be going with the Innovate unless I happen to see a great deal on the AEM between now and when I order. Is there anybody else with experience with the DB gauge? Also I'm looking at getting some other gauges as well. I'm going to get a boost and oil pressure, if I was to get one more gauge what would be my best choice?

I chose to go with the lc-1 with a g3 gauge, and i have not had much luck. in the 6 or so months i have had it, I have probably had a month of it working well. I now have no response at all. the gauge does not move, and the LED indicator does not light up. I called the company and they want me to send it back so they can review it

Where do you have the controller mounted? I know from experience that if the controller is too close to the ignition wires it will not function properly due to the EMI generated in the ignition wires.

Check your electrical connections. Also, where the controller is grounded could have adverse affects if it's loose, noisy, dirty or has a ground offset.

Reset your LC-1. Remove the O2 sensor from the exhaust and expose it to atmosphere. Disconnect the O2 sensor from the controller and turn on the power to to the controller for about 15-20 seconds. Turn the power off and reconnect the O2 sensor to the controller, but leave the O2 out of the exhaust. Turn the power back on and the LC-1 will recalibrate the heater circuit and do a free air calibration of the O2 sensor. This takes a minute or two. The LED will flash during heater calibration, pause (OFF) and blink slowly during free air calibration and then remain on when the whole procedure is complete. Turn the power off and reinstall the O2 sensor in the exhaust.

Check the manual for all the exact details.

I've had both...
Get the Lc-1 it's a Much better unit,
My Aem w/b sensor died "it was pretty old" but right after that the controller died also. the White papers aren't right so if your logging its output. is not going to be right, liner but not what the papers say.
Bottom line the Lc-1 is a much better piece and it has ALOT more features and is programmable to suit your needs

As far a the Db gauge I have one with my lc-1 and Have'nt had any problems with it at all, reads the same as all my logs

I've got the AEM gauge, have it logged through pocketlogger. Never had a problem except one dead sensor that drank a lot of race gas that year. Wasn't a problem since they're not made to use with leaded fuel.

I have the LC-1 w/DB guage. I had issues at first but the company was quick to repair the LC-1 controller. Now it works great with no issues. The LC-1 is very sensitive to ground, so make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
