The product that EVERYONE needs is FINALLY here. The Australian company that was selling the components for you to make your own DIY Wideband is now offering complete units. This means that you no longer have to get the pieces and then find an electronics guy to assembly it for you. The best thing is the price its about $300 US to get it insured and shipped to your door. At that point the only think you need is the O2 sensor off of a Civic VX.

If you are wondering what it is or what id does I suggest you do some research online. The simple answer is that a wideband 02 sensor will be able to tell you your exact air/fuel ratio. You no longer have to depend on your inaccurate a/f gauge or datalogger. With this you will be able to read your exact a/f ratio at all times. I can’t tell you how useful this product will be. Some of us wonder how we ever use to be able to tune without a datalogger this will be the same thing.

That is the OZ kit, if you want to go cheap and build it yourself head here
Hey genius I posted that back in September :thumb: People can simply refer to the VERY FIRST POST on this thread to read up on the Tech edge kit. You linking this annoys the crap out of me. It shows that you didn’t read through the post but you just had to share your two cents. Hey you know what I even posted this link on what 02 sensor to use and where to get it. Its not like you had to read through the whole posts it’s the very first post!

Why do you have to be such a prick? You didn't give any info what so ever on the DIY-WB kit, did you? I was just giving him his options, which you didn't do. I gave him the option of doing it for almost 1/2 the price of the OZ kit.

Yes I have read thru the whole thread, I have been posting on it for quite a while. Just because you want all the credit for this doesn't give you the right to rule the place. Pretty damn rude for a supposed "wiseman"!

Lets not turn this into an ego trip pissing match, the info has been given lets leave it as that. The DIY,OZ,HKS are all cost effective ways to read and tune your actual o2 signal. im going with the hks. because to be quite honest, the other's just look ghetto and I don't what them in my car.

How much did you find the HKS kit for? It does look really nice!

I would like to drop the whole thing above too. It just makes me mad when people lose all respect for others just cuz they are on the net and not face to face. (All done, I will not post about it again)

Yeah that's often the case, the only price I have seen is on the hks-usa web page. it lists for 595, which seems somewhat pricey but some pay that much for a EBC. everything is not always about price you know. i spoke to a buddy of mine that just put a motec(sp) wide band in his dsm, and said if he had known about the HKS he would have not spent the 900 on the motec(sp)

So, Can you put a wideband o2 sensor in the stock location by the turbo and let your ECU use it, therefore giving my apexi TT a better reading?

Anyone heard when version 2.0 of the techedge is coming out? Their site says in February. I signed up for the mailing list along time ago, but have yet to get a single email from them. It looks like it will be alot better giving more sensitive readings.

A buddy of mine was selling a Greddy A/F gauge with a "wideband" 02 sensor... is it possible to use a wideband 02 with this gauge???

Fellow Oz widebanders,

Where did you get your L1H1 sensor? I ordered one from NAPA and they called me today to say that they have stopped selling the ECHLIN brand sensor, because they've been on back order for 3 YEARS!!!

The other site, ThePartsBin, is a dead link and if you search for on O2 for a honda VX, they dont even list one?

Thanks,

Well, now according to Techedge's website, version 2.0 will not be available until May. It was previously due out sometime this month :( Maybe the HKS piece will come out before then and there will be some good info on it. It seems like a decent price given there reputation.

I have a question for anyone that's running v1.5. Have you tried using the WB o2 as a replacement for the stock o2 sensor? It says on their website that the newer version supports "A simulated Narrowband output (with adjustable stoic point) provides a sensor signal for the ECU when the original (narrowband) sensor has been removed. This enables wideband measurements without adding an extra bung in your exhaust system." I'm curios to know as to how this works because it would be nice to just run one sensor and it also mentions it having an adjustable stioc point which would be great for tuning... Any thoughts?

Yeah I just tried to order one from Napa, but they don't have any idea when they'll be available. Anyone? I need one!!!
