wideband and safc and 560 evo injectors

i am getting an safc by apexi (the 2 i think) and i was wondering if i need to get a wideband o2 like the aem uego set up. also will the safc accurately tune using evo 560cc injectors. i heard 650cc's is not easy and 550cc's is recommended and do they just plug and play?

any help is appriciated, jeremy
 
check out the tuning forum. There is alot of good info there about exactly what you are asking about.

IMO get a datalogger before a wideband. It gives you eyes into the ecu and the engine and is also a heck of alot cheaper.
 
the evo 560cc will drop right in. Read up on tuning with the afc but it should control the 560cc just fine. Definitely get the logger and wideband.
 
thanks for the help. i see the lc-1 with led gauge on ebay for 199. that should be fine but where can i get a logger and the harness and the approximate price? also would i be able to tune well with out them for now with the safc and an maft until i get the money.

Dont tune without feed back tool homie ...leave it stock until you get your pocket logger and wideband kit ...it cheaper than a new engine.:thumb::thumb::talon::talon:
 
I purchased a good cable for about $35.00 and am using MMCd on my laptop running a Palm OS emulator. The software is all free, and if you have a laptop you will only have 35 bucks into your logger.

This is the route I went, I am sure that a Palm mounted on my dash would look cooler, but I don't have any problems at all running my setup. The sample rates are still really quick, and it works great.

If you have other questions, PM me and I can send you all the files and stuff you'll need. I can also give you the name of the guy I bought the cable off of.

But to echo what has been said, I DO NOT recommend tuning or adjusting without having a logger and being able to use it properly.

Why are you posting? Just trying to get your number of posts up by saying that same BS in more than one place? 1600's would be untunable with an afc. Either Post helpful info, or do more reading here and less typing.

I thought 680's and my SAFC2 worked alright together. I think 550's are pretty much pointless cause they give you barely anything over the stock 450's. Larger injectors are almost the same price anyways, and then you have less of a chance of having to buy bigger ones in 6 months. 650's can get you quite a ways. The 2g timing map is pretty conservative anyways, so if you do gain a couple degrees of timing because of the afc it's not a big deal.

A chip burner is way cheaper than an afc and it's easier and far superior to tune with tunerpro and burning chips than an afc could ever be. I ditched my afc and it was about the best thing I've ever done to my car. Since you have a 95 car, you probably have an EPROM ECU anyways; if so, 80 bucks for the burner and you are good to go.
 
Sorry I was bored and just joking around cause i have 1600cc injectors and an AEM and they are still hard to tune even with a fuel injector driver.
 
yea i have the safc with 560s, itll be fine.. i had a friend of my that tunes set me up with a base tune without a wideband or logger, but once i got the logger and wideband i was able to lean it out for more power, basically you shouldnt have any problems
 
well those 1600's and the aem cost half my car so yea im not looking for 600+ hp only 350 is fine. i got a logger on here from somebody just a lil while ago but it doesnt have a cable can anyone lmk where i can get one? im running a 2g btw.
