Are pintle caps required to run the evo 560 injectors? I purchased a set and 2 caps are missing, 1 is cracked.

My husband wants to install them and the 255 pump I just picked up today and not wait to order new pintle caps.

Will this hurt my car or is it safe to run without caps?

The injector seals slide onto the pintle cap with out them I don't think stock seals would work. Other then this issue the caps are not necessary.... they keep the pintle from being damaged during handling and install, and in some cases The seal slides over them as I mentioned. But... The caps have no affect on Spray pattern and flow .

This is what my injector looks like. I guess I am failing to see where the seal would be to my engine. There is an o ring under the pintle cap but it is for the pintle, not anything else.

I maybe wrong and the seals may still seal well. I had issues with getting a good seal when I broke a cap off of a set of rc injectors. I had to rig up some seals from lowes home improvement haha. After fixing my sealing issue no caps had no negative affect. But do a boost leak test after you install. I also did tons of research to confirm it would not affect anything.
