Well, I've tried to make my leak tester, and my compressor at home is just too loud for me to even hear anything, plus I dont even think it was pushing enough air, either that or I had no leaks.. When under boost, it pulls when until like 10 psi, then it climbs, but I feel almost as if im lagging out.. The car is really running slow. The turbo does have shaftplay, but im not smoking, and blades are still spinning? No sign of oil? -- I just installed my new home made MBC, but im having NO luck what so ever... I tried richening up but it feels as if I am just hitting fuel cut, bogging down and what not.. What could be some other problems as to why my boost isnt really boosting? I thought at first the only reason it felt like that was cause the fuel wasnt tuned correctly, but ive tried almost every setting, and it doesnt feel any different, unless I richen it up and it bogs down towards fuelcut. Does the nipple on the turbo housing need to be plugged? If so, what other nipples require to be plugged?
Thanks again for any insight, If I wasnt specific enough, please ask some questions and i would be more than happy to try to answer them.. Its been several months since i could boost correctly. Im just over the early stages of a rebuild as well..
could it be from a bad rebuild? i doubted it, Even though my turbo doesnt feel bad, Im desperate and soon going to just get another turbo hopefully solving my problem, I was thinking about a t25 used? then just having my 18G rebuilt.. Anywho, the motor was just reinstalled because they used the wrong crankshaft bearings, and it slid on the inside, they machined the crank, and rehardened it and slapped it back in.. incase that has anything to do with the boosting which i doubt =( -- Anywho, please ask away and ill try to do my best..

, So I mean as stupid as it sounds I feel like buying a leak tester straight off of Mach V this way I know itll be made right. I had bought a 2" to 3" coupler, and bought a rubber quickcap which ended up not working right. So instead I used a spraycan top and put it in the 2" side, then drilled a hole for the stem valve.. Well anyway, the point was even with this huge high power compressor I didnt see any air building up on the gauge.
