I just put in a auto meter boost gadge and its reading 5 psi, i pinched the boost line while puting it in and attempted to fix it i un kinked the line and it looks ok but in first gear the gadge is only reading 5 pounds i havent gone over 3000 rpm because of trani issuse but is that a good reading for only 3000 rpms or so? ive gotten the car up to 60 but no farther and it still reads 5 psi its an auto trani i dont know if that matter so ill though it in any way :thumb:

5psi at 3000 is fairly low on a t-25. However, you weren't entirely too specific either. Are you driving casual or hard? I am also assuming it is still the t-25 on the car still. I would do a boost leak check and see what you come up with. It is also possible to have a pre-turbine exhaust leak(7cm gasket, or manifold gasket.) I would check these out and let us know what you come up with. :thumb:

I would also make sure you did indeed fix the kink in the line to the gauge as well.

ya i got on it hard but the trani slipps as soon as i get over 3000 rpm on a down shit and it is a t-25 and i will do a boost leak check and a compression check the car is smoking

If you kinked the line the boost gauge wont read right. If you have slack I'd cut it off at the kink and try to do it again.

ok will do thanks i should b at 16 psi but it doen't seam to b right at all at 5 psi

Do as posted in post # 3 and 4 and then brake torque the car anfd see if you can build more boost

2700 5 lbs now with break boosting, 3000 breaks let go and it hit 7 psi, that was fun in the drive way LOL, one way to get the nabors mad ....

Im sure he said pliers becuase you need those to cut rubber or whatever kind of vacum hose you use.

I had a problem just like this where I kinked the plastic hose. You have to actually cut off whatever part you kinked or else it wont read right.

Should i just buy a new line because i can't reconnect the plastic one its in a bad spot.

The best thing to do is to ditch the white nylon line. As you've seen, it kinks, cracks, and is difficult to work with. Go to your local auto parts store and buy a brass barbed fitting. Looks like this, though the size you need might vary:

This part screws on the back of your gauge where the other line fits in. Then you'll need a few feet of regular black (or color of your choice) rubber/silicone vacuum line. Get enough to go from the gauge in the cabin to the FPR line. Get a regular plastic tee and tee into your FPR line. You'll find that the rubber line is much better to work with and won't kink or crack. Try this and report back the results.
