for some reason, my car runs much faster after starting when the engine is cold. Like i can actually feel a pull after 3k. but then It starts to go back to its normal, slow self after the engine fully warms up.

The colder the vehicle, the more effecient. However, don't go around banging gears while the vehicle is cold. It won't like you very much and will soon refuse to go anywhere with you. It isn't properly warmed up and lubricated yet, so driving it hard while it's cold will cause accelerated wear and tear. But to answer your question in more detail. The colder the vehicle is the less heat transfer you have been the turbine housing and the compressor housing. This means colder air through and to your motor. Colder air=good.
Cold car+heavy foot=bad. Keep this in mind. :thumb:

On a 90-91 you could do like I did and yank the headlight covers. Just replace the blinkers with some foglights. It dropped my intake temp from 130+ to 60-90. Check out my photos once it gets approved (I just uploaded it.)

The look isn't for everyone but it does help performance.

When you first start your car up (after being cold), it revs a bit higher-right? That's because your coolant temperature sensor sees that the engine needs to be heated up and your thermostat will shut. As a result, your car may run a bit richer until things get going. That's why when you smog, you want to make sure you've driven your car a bit or on the freeway to ensure your at it's peak/normal operating temperature (not as rich vs. colder engine).

how did you manage to fit fog lights into that space? i'd think that the stock fog lights were longer in height than the headlights. and also, what are those lights next to the grill? Looks awesome by the way. And thanks for the replies, answered my question.
