Why do 1g's have 8 brake lines?

Does anyone make a 4 line conversion kit? Will 2G lines work?

I just installed some K-Sport coilovers that do not have anywhere to connect the brake lines. It would be better with only 4 lines.

I bought a set of lines from RRE, they seemed to be the cheapest. I have had them for a year now and am pleased with them. Why 8, just to make more work and cost more. Yes you could get a custom set of lines that would eliminate that second connection, but you would have to find some way to make it hug the shock. Like using a zip tie. Just get the proper kit. Not 100% but I think there is a length issue with the 4 line kits.

Out of necessity I'm using a 2g kit on my rear brakes (1 hose per side) and that kit comes with a sleeve of sorts that actually fits in the strut bracket, on 1 side anyway, the other one seems to be installed backwards and wouldn't go thru the other way. That side I did some creative zip-tying and (knock wood) is working good. I just made sure there is no hose to metal contact throughout the travel. I can't comment on the fronts though.
