Hey guys i have a question about everytime i start the engine, i blow out at least 1 injector 0 ring. I have stock 450cc injectors and i got stock replacement o rings from extreme psi
Heres the link of what i boughtEXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Fuel Injector O-Ring Replacement Set

Also i havent even driven on the injectors yet so its not like it happens when i get into boost.

Heres a pic of the most recent one i pulled out it was in 3 pieces with chunks of it all over the place!

Now one thing ive noticed is the ones i got are green like the precision injectors come with is there a chance that extreme sent me the wrong ones? The stock ones are a orange color, the frustrating thing is that the receipt says stock oem replacement o rings.

What am i doing wrong?

Did you just jam them in the fuel rail when you installed them? I usually put just a tiny bit of assembly lube on them to make sure they go in smoothly. Do you have the plastic spacers at the bottom of the rail where the bolts go through?

Never force o-rings in. Use a LITTLE bit of lube just so they slide in easier. I usually push in a little bit and twist back and forth slowly if it's tight.

I did injectors on my car the 1st time I did a boost leak test and OMG 3 of them sucker had huge leaks.I didnt use any lube and didnt know what could happen.I took them out and the big o rings were gargage ripped in half and chunks missing.I bought new ones and used a bit of grease and they went on much easier. No more boost leaks. My injector orings were green too.

ah ok so stick some grease on them and they should be ok? I didnt jam them in the fuel rail and i use the black plastic spacers (which are brand new with the injectors). I will order a new set and try that next time one of them blows, what are you using for lube just assembly lube? I dont want to put the wrong lube in there because it has a chance of clogging the injectors by mixing with the fuel.

If you have all 3 spacers for the fuel rail, you don't need to buy new ones of them. As for a lube, you can either use some gas which some people on here would say otherwise for fire hazard reasons or use some water. You just want to keep the o-ring wet so it slides in. Remember keep some pressure on it by pushing and also rotate it back and forth until it seats in. I did it that way with my injectors and never had a problem. Good luck :thumb:

Honestly, when I did mine, I believe I just used spit on the o-rings...
