Why Are Evo's So Slooow?!?!?!?!

about a month ago i had my first chance to race an evo, i saw him roll up behind me so i decided to race him. we went from about 50 to 90 and i was ahead the whole time (given i started about half a car ahead) I though maybe i got lucky and he was in the wrong gear. Yesturday i got to race my friends evo with: greddy turbo back, greddy type s bov, ic piping, intake. I though i had no chance...first run we went from 35 and i beat him by about half a car. I then found out he was in third and i was in second... so i said lets go again and we both will start in second... so we did from 30 and he had me by a 1/4 of a car most of the way until 4th gear when i cought up and we ended up tying... PS my car has less mods then his check my profile to see... anybody wan to put in their two cents...

oh there is no doubt he will get me from a stop but i am only talking about from a roll...and he is good driver perhaps better then me
