Black95TSIawd said:jim, i'm not sure if you did the 400whp on pump or racegas. Did u do any racegas runs and are keeping the times from us?

DSMJim said:I went 12.1 @ 113 mph on pump gas 22psi that was around 375ish mark.
CYCLONE said:485hp on stock bottom, head has new valves, spring, and retainers.
Running 25-31 psi on this motor for about 6k miles now.
Only reason head has been worked on was because I took the car
to a rally-x event ripped my coolant line at the oil cooler off and
that took out the headgasket.
The motor has 108000 miles on it now.

Do you think that a 6-bolt with a 1g/2g combo will hold up to this? http://www.bullseye-power.com/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=59CYCLONE said:485hp on stock bottom, head has new valves, spring, and retainers.

any higher, the good old Blitz bov wasn't holding boost. Got a new Tial, now I just need
to get the new flange welded on. I still have $150 worth of dyno time at AMS from the
dyno shoot out last year.

I'll be tuning with the DSMlink, and not running anymore than 25lbs. Traction.!
Black95TSIawd said:wow, i never thought of such a huge difference from 1g's and 2g's based on power difference. My friend with a 90 tsi awd ran 12.3 @ 113 with an evoIII16g at 22psi with racegas of course. Car was at about 300whp. Stock cams and stock intake mani.

I was wanting to just go with 95 cr pistons but it's like $300 for new pistons and the machine labor to press onto the stock big 1g rods,so I am going to go on and spend another $100 and get a set of wiseco's. I will be shooting for 400whp on pump gas with a agp rs49t. Should I go with 8:3 or 9:1 cr, I will only be able to get 93 at the pump in my area? Is the 9:1 too high to run big boost on pump w/o detnation?

maxim240sx said:I wouldn't touch the block but I bought it w/ a blown HG and it was dissassembled. I don't know the condition of the pistons.I would have loved to have found a whole running long block and I'd just throw it in the car w/ a cometic hg and be done with it. I have searched all over and have not found any local complete running longblocks. Anybody have one around texas, kansas,or arkansas lemme know.
anconover said:Actually 375 seems high. I did 12.3@112 on pump, stock intake mani, stock cams, 1.86 60fts. I woulda assumed around 330whp. With the weight of his car etc id assume more around 335-350WHP. Would be 400+ at the crank tho.
