Busting 11's on EVO II Big 16G

I was wondering...is it possible to bust into the 11's...anywere into the 11's on an EVO III Big 16 G Turbo w/34mm flapper mod w/all supporting mods and 1g motor in a 2g AWD DSM...is it possible?

I'm getting there. Ran the time below with 1.75 60ft in a high 80 deg day.

Next time full C16 :cool:

HEy 20psi...
What kind of exaust do you have? You can pull 11's out of the car with the 2600, fuel, and a decent tune. Your stock motor with the 8.5 compression will work nicely with the turbo, but you will need to be a driver and rip some 1.7 flat 60 foot times , maybe high 1.6's and I dont think you will be able to do it on pump gas, 22-24psi and race gas, and you have a chance.

Yes I can see high 11s on a nice BR FMIC and C16 race fuel and the boost jacked to 24 PSI should get you there just make sure you have the fuel and 3" exaust to supply the demand :thumb:
 
I was just doing some searching and saw this thread. Anyway, I have run an 11.98, and an 11.95 in my full weight 1997 AWD.

As for your mod list, I'd go with DSMLink rather than an AFC. And some HKS cams.

DSMLink allows you to shift with your gas pedal on the floor, but still allows RPMs to fall as soon as the clutch is pressed in at all, which was pretty much the key to my car running in the 11s. You have to drive the hell out of it. I'm sure my 2 passes would have been 12.00x's if I couldn't power shift.

And the cams are needed for the mid to high end torque gain.
 
u might want to throw a fpr= fuel pressure regulator on that list, other than that you not looking to bad, you need somehting to tune though, like a data logger or dsmlink, the safc wont tune by its self, at least you wan tto read what you car is doing, make adjustments as you go, and maybe alil crash cource in fuel delivery and what kind or boost/fuel and duty cycle your going to be running... you got it pretty much though, looken nice :thumb: :dsm: :thumb:


p.s. dont wonder whats up with your car when you've got a 255 and no fuel control (fpr)....
 
Should be able to. Hell, Leon ran 11's on his 14b :)

a local tuner in my area ran 12.2 on his Evo first nite out at the track with it, full interior, stock sidemount :)
 
did you just win the lottery or something? Selling lots of that yayo? Shit a 2.3 stroker kit and a nice fmic and all that other blang blang and you gon be running a evo16g? wtf?!
 
old thread but...

I run a full weight 2g (minus AC). I run a standard big 16, 190 pump, 550s, SAFC, ect...

12.2 off the spray and dropping.

add a 50 shot and I run 11.74 and dropping.

As stated above, the key is certainly driving (and nitrous ;))
