Whole bunch of things wrong with my talon

for some reason theres a whole bunch of things wrong with my car.. i think its on the verge of death...

after it passes 35mph it slips into neutral so now i have to drive with the od off... i keep hearing a lot of possible things that it could be... either an end clutch or a torque converter (something like that) or it could be the computer or trans.

then when i stop at a light and i have the a/c on the car vibrates real bad... but i think those are the motor mounts...

theres a couple other things but their little... can anyone help me out... id really appreciate it.

Sounds like you lost 3rd.gear in the tranny, & possibly the torque converter is starting to s*#t the bed also. Either way, it looks like transmission time . . .

Drive it to my house . . . That`s likely a 1G 6 bolt 4G63 n/t - the one I need !! .

Just get the transmission overhauled

when i bought it i had to send the transmission to get fixed because it didnt have a 1st or 2nd gear... this sucks

well... i would drive it there but thats a LONG way and i dont know if the car will make it

Does it grind a lot in first or reverse? Maybe theres a slim chance you need to add fluid to the transaxel? My mechanic says some good synthetic gear oil can help with a lot of tranny issues, but not all.. Hey maybe for the price its worth a try?

nah it hasent done that... but thanks for the advace... i hope it works because god knows i dont have the money to be fixing major problems right now

Obviously your car is an AT, so check your fluid level first. Start basic. No need to get all worked up and thinking the worst is happening. Thats like all the new guys that have a simple problem with their car and post on here asking "my life is ending, does my car have crankwalk!!!?!?" or something stupidly dramatic like that.

If you had the trans overhauled, ask the rebuilder what he did to it. If it wasnt that long ago, maybe the "rebuild" and your problem having something in common - meaning he may be at fault.

If I had a nickel for every time a new owner has said that. Ill give you my advice for that - if you cant keep up with the maintenance and the problems these cars have, save yourself the headache and get rid of the car.

oh no its not that serious... i just want to know all the possible things i can do to fix the problem before i have to go deep into it... and i have been keeping up with it until now... since i just had the baby and im not working the money situation is not good... so im trying to do all the cheap things first

There is nothing easy or cheap about it. If its not a fluid or electronic thing with an AT, then its going to require the tranny to come out. Like I said, get ahold of the guy that already "worked" on the tranny.
