who makes a good afpr?

I am still running stock injectors but i have a 255 in the trunk in preperation for bigger injectors and all that stuff. but i want a fpr that i can still run till i do get bigger injectors and stuff. oh and if i get bigger injectors can i just get an eprom ecu chipped for bigger injectors instead of running all that maf hack crap. and without buying a aem fuel management or piggy back? thanks for any input.

Any AFPR that the vendors of this site sells would be sufficient. You don't necessarily need to hack your MAF or a complete EMS system. You can run SAFC/SAFC II and that would be fine. I ran RC 550cc and PTE 680cc injectors w/o AFPR and my car ran great, just rich.

If you have/are getting an EPROM ECU, may just be worth it to get ECMLink. I see V2 (DSMLink) going for pretty cheap.

At a minimum, some type of logging/monitoring should be available and you may still want to get a piggyback with a DSMchip.

Chipped to +30% fuel map due to 8.5/1 pistons, fuel cut elimination, and check engine light comes on as shift light. i think its technicaly stage 1. so if i understand right if i have an ecu chip that knows im running diffrent injectors it will be all i need? ofcourse the monitoring stuff still guages etc.. what is the largest size injectors that the maf will be able to keep up with?

What are some advantages of a AFPR? If you chip it, wont it be able to adjust it via the chip? I'm still new to chips/tuning.

Also, the CEL as a shift light sounds pretty clever.

the cel as a shift light would be interesting but what happens when it really is something? i would prefer a real shift light.

as for afpr's... you don't need them to be chipped, thats what the A is for. it is Adjustable via the user.

and it seems most people in the dsm world get the aeromotive 13109 afpr, but i got the 13101 which has larger lines so i can run more fuel later when i expand more.

that's awesome using lights on the dash as a shift light. to bad my instrument cluster looks like a christmas tree with all the lights coming on and off. .

no need for a shift light. you can hear and feel where you need to shift. i have a friend who runs a 6 speed in a 3rd gen camaro that runs 7.80s in the quarter. So don't say you can't shift fast enough.

I def have to keep my eyes on the road when im boosting so i just use my boost meter it will get as high as i want it to got before red line so i just watch the boost guage so i dont hurt the engine sorta i hit 20 psi some times but no problems im sure its not good for my rings but i rarley let it get to that.

in 1g dsms it has an "injector tuner" i just dont see any description can some one fill me in ? thanks.
