Who has the nicest 420a engine bay?

this is a 420a what are you guys talking about. Its not a cold air intake its the pipe for the intercooler.:beatentodeath:
No one said it was a Cai.....
Nemizis said something about a Cai; but it was a completely different picture he was referring to.

Anyway, turbizmo I would have to give you props on the "stock look". Do you have a fmic? If so, how do you manage to hide that?

yeah i have a 31 by 14 intercooler. oh also by the way my turbo is mounted on to my stock headers. No leaks. I had another turbo setup with a block manifold but the turbo was to big and to laggy. the only thing i am having some problems with is that i am loosing to much tracking on 1st gear but nothing bad ill just lower the psi on my tires and problem fixed maybe its because i have hardly any lag something i was trying to reach at. many people said it couldnt be done but hey i guess i can. :tease:

Sucks to live in Cali.
I would like to see somemore pics of your setup.
I assume you removed the A/C to get the downpipe to fit.
So how do you get away with the Fmic?

It's a unique setup; and like I said, props on the "stock look".

Yup that was one of the things that bugged me the most about that movie. It wasn't even a turbo engine bay I don't think :notgood:

Nope, was a 420a with a regular tube header... not even converted to a 420a-t. No one will watch that movie with me because I get pissed about that.

the cops just think its a radiator LOL well yes I removed the AC I had plenty of room to do the downpipe i could of put a 5 inch exhaust if i wanted to but i went with 3 inch all the way back. the headers are stock but with a 14b flange welded on it so it could all be straight bolt on. :thumb: I am doing 12 psi with 300cc injectors and of course forged pistons and eagle rods with ferea valves and port polish intake manifold and other little mods.

Had to come and post mine hehe. Don't mind as it's a bit crowded and dirty

I rather stick on the low side away from the cops. I have a 16g on my 420a baby try to make it look as stock as possible greddy type s bov had to be painted so that the pigs cant say nothing.

^ thats kinda cool. You should mount your bov on the underside of the charge pipe. Make your valve cover a little more the "attention getter" to distract from the turbo. Oh..I dont see an airfilter, but if you use one, put a stock air box in their and run the intake into that. that would be a helluva sleeper.

It will fit, just look at this.
Alot depends on where the bar comes across; some bars go across the middle of the struts, some go across closer to the firewall, and some closer to the front of the car. I was sceptical about the bars that go across closer to the firewall but this picture pretty much shows it will fit.

Thanks for that picture! I was starting to worry, Because I didn't want to have to buy a different strut bar.:thumb:

I just noticed that mine needs to be flipped the other way! LOL

So I was looking at this engine bay again, and it looks like there is no cam sensor:confused: or is it just covered up by that bracket?..
Wait there is no computer either?.. It must be running mega squirt or something.
