Just wondering who's pushed the limits of what alcohol or water is supposedly capable of doing with pump gas when injecting enough ( 30% total fuel volume at most)
The WiKi has claims of or mentions running 30* timing, 30psi boost and 12:1 AFR's and leaner on plain pump gas and that amount of alcohol.
Now does this mean one of those three, all of them together ( as it mentions in the last paragraph) or just a slight increase in all of them.
I would just like to know if anyone pushed 25+ PSI, 25-26* + TIMING and AFR's as lean as 12:1 and leaner? I'm intrigued, alcohol has always been a sketchy thing always bragged about but was never really big enough for me to see a lot of it in use, so i ask you, the guys running it hard....What are my limitations besides the usual? Any alky/water specific advice you can offer would be sweet.
I have a goal of running 25-28PSI, if i have to be a little more conservative on timing, so be it. And the car did feel a LOT more powerful at 12:1 when i was dialing in the alky tune, but not knowing any more than i did at the time i kept the AFR's hitting 11 flat to 10.8 at ~18-20 psi. I'm learning that in "theory" i could have pushed a LOT more, am i reading wrong or taking what was said in the Wiki Wrong?
