hey i just picked up a 95 GSX, the other owner put on the ebay projectors, and i got a HID kit that uses the same plug style as the stock plug. i had the hids on my camaro and they fit correct. so now i want to put them on my eclipse, but what hold the bulb inplace on the headlight housing, is different then the plug style on the HID's

any ideas??

Well unfortunately i think your looking at buying new bulbs. The stock housings use 9006/9005 and those after market projectors are gonna be h1/h3 bulbs which as you know the connectors are much much different. and there is pretty much no way to get them to fit in there propery.

ohh, that makes sense.... wtf would they do that for... man
well how do i remove the lights? LOL

i tryed the drivers side i got 3 bolts out and it was still stuck in there, i looked allover for something else holding it in and i could not get it out..

Theres a bolt on the bottom holding them down. Many have broken it free from the housing to forever rid themselves of that bolt.
Mine wouldn't budge though and trying to remove it with the bumper on was only causing me grief so I've yet to try again.. 3 years later.

LOL ohh i see haha

According to the ETS FMIC install instructions, you can work your arm and a wrench up through the bumper air dams and unscrew the lower headlight housing bolt. I've never tried it myself though. I usually just end up ripping the front bumper off to get to it (which means you gotta break the screws holding the bumper to the crash bar. Either way... something's gonna get broken, you just have to decide whether you want it to be the lower headlight bolt or the upper bumper screws. I've always chosen the bumper (who wants a rattling headlight?).
