WHINE! constant. starter disengage prob?! turbo? HELP

well i finally get my new tranny in and its still whining! atleast the grinding and popping out of gear r gone ok.... now what could this be? seems like its WITH the engine speed. clutch in or out neutral or in gear it does it. even when stopped with it in neutral and the clutch in it kindda clicks or whines when i rev it. did this b4 and after tranny swap. i think when i was cleaning the starter the gear moved in and out pushing it with my finger.... and when i start the car it seems different or something like no click just a quiet whir and then it starts. could it be the starter is not dissengaging? also a tiny bit of smoke from engine bay when i started it but i had coolant and oil/tranny fluid dripped all over.... or is it the bearing in the turbo? i had the intake hose off and felt the shaft and couldnt wiggle it at all? seemed great? i have a starter layin around i could get in there.... but anyone have this problem? its a pretty loud WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR when i get going and kindda like a fast click at idle. just one damn thing after another

so what happens when the starter gets "stuck" engaged? would it not whine like that?

could it be the timing belt tensioner? o crap.... maybe thats why there was a little smoke from there...? how do i know if its good or bad?

Sounds like a bad accessory bearing. Could be your alternator going out. I had an alternator do that. Made a pretty cool but loud whirling sound before the bearing totally annihilated itself and then it changed to a clunky metal salad noise.

Get it fixed, could be any of your accessories or belt related bearings. (tensioner pulley)

You sure your A/C isn't on?

i dont have an a/c belt even on it . ive used a/c like twice in my life (put the windows down and stomp it ) anyways yea.... i was thinkin now the alternator cuz there was some thin smoke comming from that area(but i got coolant and oil everywhere ) but wouldnt the electrical system be a little iffy? cuz i had my nessecary beat box blaring on a freak out with no problem? is it from overloading it or to tight of belts or just wore out from being old?

ok.... im kindda of worry wart and didnt have enough time to think about it and test it. there r 3 sepperate sounds. the whine is not even the engine cuz i got going and turned it off to coast in neutral with the clutch in and it whined. the other sounds were tob rattling cuz i need to adjust the clutch pedal, and exhaust heat shield rattling cuz i broke it off and didnt have tight enough hose clamps around it. so now hmmm.... wtf in the drive train (up in front) is makin the noise? i think its the brake rotor shields cuz theyre pure rust and wouldnt make such a bad screach like nice metal on nice metal would. or maybe hose clamp on exhaust hitting drive shaft. ill have to go look.
