I don't know if the 420A is 5-30 or 10-30, but I would definately recommend mobil 1 full synthetic for every car, except car's w/ motors that have less than 5k miles.

i plan on changing the oil this week i want to know whats the best type of oil for my car i mean the most expenisive best.. it has like 146,xxx miles on it..what do you guys reccomend and our motor oil is usually 10w-40 right and uses 4 qts?? sorry for the stupid questions jus bought the car like 2 months ago and the dealer was the last one to change the oil..thanks a lot for your time!! =D

try some searches, but I like Pennzoil because I recently changed to that and practically no lifter tick and ran smooth. Lots of guys will say Mobil 1 Synthetic but I have been told not to use a Synthetic unless the car has always used it because it can cause leaks and such.

As has been discussed dozens of times, the conclusion is that DSMs aren't oil-fussy.

Go with whatever you like, has the prettiest package, or is cheapest.

I was just wondering what most turbo dsm owners use when changing their oil and oil filter...? i searched the faq's but couldn't find any discussions on this....i currently use mobil 1 sythetic oil and mobil 1 oil filter but I think this combo is a little on the expensive side....anyone use a different combo that maybe as good but cheaper....?

Its a 97 gs-t spyder, with 125k on it. what kind of iol would be best for this vehicle? mobile 1 is for newer cars right? should i go with soemthing thicker or like a high mileage formula?

i used search, but i couldn't find much pertaining to this. just that lots of people use mobile one.

The oil no longer matters. It hasn't since the eighties. Use what you decide is best. You won't be wrong.

This is just a matter of personal preference. I use Mobil 1 10w-30 like most people on here but some use others and they have there reasons for using it. IMO one oil isn't THAT much better than another as long as you change it regularly.

I strongly disagree I have personally seen some horrible things happen to engines due to certain types of oil, specifically penzoil. I personally use mobil 1 10w 30. Royal purple would be another good synthetic oil. If you dont want to spend $5 a quart I would recommend valvoline or castrol, I have heard good things about quaker too. Also do not use fram oil filters I have seen bad results with them. I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site that can back me up on this.

Whats wrong with Fram oil filters? Im not saying that you're full of sh*t, its just easier to believe somebody's recommendations when they can back it up with some tangible proof..
