PieEyedPiper said:i used search, but i couldn't find much pertaining to this. just that lots of people use mobile one.
that didnt tell me what kind to use. Obviously i need 10W-30, but what kind. Like what make and everything. I wanted to switch to synthetic but what kind should i use?I strongly disagree I have personally seen some horrible things happen to engines due to certain types of oil, specifically penzoil. I personally use mobil 1 10w 30. Royal purple would be another good synthetic oil. If you dont want to spend $5 a quart I would recommend valvoline or castrol, I have heard good things about quaker too. Also do not use fram oil filters I have seen bad results with them. I'm sure there are plenty of people on this site that can back me up on this.95bLaCkGsTuRbO said:This is just a matter of personal preference. I use Mobil 1 10w-30 like most people on here but some use others and they have there reasons for using it. IMO one oil isn't THAT much better than another as long as you change it regularly.

Turbo Talon DL said:Whats wrong with Fram oil filters? Im not saying that you're full of sh*t, its just easier to believe somebody's recommendations when they can back it up with some tangible proof..
