Which turbo

I havent really updated my profile in a while so here goes..

Im lookin to buy a gt4202 journal bearing (i kno i know) but was just wondering how much boost.....let me rephrase..what kind of power at what boost level would i be able to run on a stock motor? I know the larger frame turbos are kind of out of thier efficiency at lower boost but im not tryin to break anything.
Btw, i have EVERYTHING but a built motor...literally.
Also, if i were to make a manifold...well, a friend of mine whose been welding for 45 years+, where would the brace and such for it be located?

400hp is the standard for 1g rods and 2g pistons. Every turbo/engine combination will have a different boost level.

I suggest you build a motor before buying a large frame turbo like that. then buy a turbo afterwards.. one overboost situation=kaboom. with a turbo like that.

I agree buts its all in the tune, some are capable of more than 400hp with the right setup on stock internals. But if your not willing to break something I'd keeping it around 400.

well i was planning on running 44mm tials but and i know what an overboost situation can/will do but i plan to do so in the future. Im only asking how much boost could i run to stay under 500whp or so?
The thing is i can get a ABSOLUTELY fantastic deal on a 4202 or 94, but im unsure as to which one to get. How much of a difference in spool is there between the 2?
I know i can rev the stock motor to 8k reliably, but if im only going to have a 500rpm powerband id like to know .
Put it this way, manifold, wastegates, and turbo >1500.
