I am looking at purchasing a timing belt kit again because it is getting close to needing it again. I am looking at extremepsi's kit and for the timing tensioner adjuster has two different versions for a 95. An early 95 and 95-99.

The early goes from 05/01/95 to 08/02/95 but unfortunately my car's engine bay sticker is worn off so I am not sure when my car was manufactured. Any ideas what I should do? Thank you!

Best thing to do would be to call ExtremePSI and have them help you out as you will be buying from them.

I plan on doing that later on today but I was just curious if anyone knew if both would bolt up and work.

Anyone know the difference? My car is a 97 but I used a 95 motor. Has only 10k miles and I can't even sell it if I don't know what version it is. They all look the same.

To the OP, you can call the dealer and give them your VIN number and get the part number then order it.

Go look at your tensioner. It should have a 3 digit number on it, which will tell you which one you need.

From ASA:

Early '94-Late '94 - MD185539 (replaced by MD308587)
Late '94-Mid '95 - MD308587
Mid '95-Mid '99 - MD308086

You can send me your VIN in a PM and I can look it up and tell you if you'd like.
