Salem,
I HAVE to get a FMIC for my current setup....I know that, but just
curious which "KIT" would be the best for me. Also, could I run higher
boost if i just got ic pipes for now?

Current Setup:(could just check profile)

Apexi N1 catback
PTE 50 trim(76)
PTE 780cc injectors
Walbro 255 fp
GM 3.5" MAS
MAF translator
MBC(only set at (15psi), cannot go higher on pump due to
stock SMIC)
Autometer Boost
ACT 2600
logged/tuned

I have your setup but with a 2g maf instead of the maf translator and a stock exhuast mani and using the RNR race core I went 12.2 on 91 octane. I haven't done a 1/4 mile on race gas yet but in the 1/8 I did a 7.62@96. Welds are clean, SS piping is nice.Mounting is a bit easier then IRC's was but its pretty much the same.

Note...Im sure you could run 18 psi, I did.

My friend has the same setup on his 96 TSI as you, he is using a ADFX FMIC. He just picked it up for $845 shipped from www.thespeedfact.com they are having a group buy on the 1g and 2g kits. Lots of people are raving about the FMIC welds and built quality looks nice to me.

On my personal car i went with a custom setup. I bought a PTE 31.5x10.5x3.5 core and fabed up some piping. Might be a little complicated for you if you don’t have patients and the correct tools. The FMIC setup cost me $620 total.
