Which dimmer switch wire do I use?

Which dimmer switch wire do I use from the harness to light up my boost gauge?

I believe I ran it off the green/white. But don't take my word. Do you have one of those connection testers that lights up when the circuit is connected? That's what I used.

Its the black w/ yellow stripe and the green w/ white stripe, (cant remember which goes where) but if you wire it backwards when you turn the dimmer up the boost gauge light will go down so just flip the wires if that happens, 50/50 chance

Like stated below the tool your looking for is a test light just use that and dim it and brighten it with the switch then you will know what wire to hook with what saves you the time of hooking it up and then to find out its backwards and de-soldering and re-soldering again.

I figured it out.

it,s the black wire with the yellow stripe and red spacer.
