Just like the title states. The car will be daily driven and on weekends it will see action.
I had my thoughts on a act 2100 with sprung 6 puck, not sure if it'll hold up ?
Any suggestions/advice ?

Any clutch would work. 400 whp in a fwd just spins the tires. If you can hook up, the 2100 and puck would work, and not ram your crank into the thrust bearing like a 2600.

Thanks donnie, no worries i have it planned out. So a 2100 would hold that power goal with no problems ? And you probably forgot to put in the number of pucks, 4 or 6 ?
I know a 4 clamps more but not sure if that's what i should get. Thanks again for your help.

If you're dead set on a puck style disc then I would go with the 6 puck as it should be a little friendlier to drive with less chatter etc. upon engagement.:)

I HATE how the 2600 sounds under engine braking. Its sounds like a terrible terrible metal on metal sound.

When I first heard it I thought something was wrong.

My 1g AWD made 420 at the wheels with a 2100 and a street disk. FWD shouldn't be a problem. 2100 has very good street manors too

It does? Maybe there is something wrong. Mine doesn't sound like that when engine braking.

I also run a 2600 now with a fidanza flywheel and have no noises at all did you resurface the flywheel before the new clutch?

Thanks dom, sounds good. I'll be getting a fidanza flywheel as well when i get the clutch.

if its daily driven, i wouldn't use a puck. id use a street disc. I have an act 2600 in my talon. that is what i would suggest. look at the specs on the different clutches. the act 2600 will be plenty for 400 horsepower.

2600 with a SBC kevlar and fidanza flywheel did twicks69 really well for a long time, He put down more power than a lot of people ever do. While using that setup.

I talked to Tim from TMZ performance who sells the SB Kevlar disc, he said he knows a few people making almost 600whp on a 2100PP and the SB Kevlar disc, def no reason to spend more on the 2600PP when it is not needed. Especially if the car is gonna be a street/strip car. If you want the best advice call Tim from TMZ, he'll hook you up. Here is his number 414.839.8250

And an ACT 2100 pp.

A buddy of mine has a 97 talon with a 2100 and a 6 puck and it drives nice, daily driven too, i know a street disc would be more streetable but i wouldn't mind the 6, yeah it takes a little to get accustomed to during take off from a stop light with some vibration but i've managed to practice and overcome it.

A few years ago, I put down 400 WHP and 350 ft/lbs torque on a 3 year old ACT 2100 and street disk. It was holding up perfectly for me. I now prefer pucked disks, but the 2100 PP should be plenty to net your goals. Or go with a 2600 PP and have room to grow.

A 2900 PP is complete overkill at that power level.
