Looking for opinions on which direction to go with each of my cars. I've got a 91 Laser FWD and a 90 Talon AWD.

Laser has 272/264 Cams, EVO Beehives, Polished Head, ARP L19's, Balanced NPR Pistons, Balance Stock Rods w/ ARP's, DNP Manifold, Ported 14b, 2.5" Exhaust, ECM Link, KYB Adjustable shocks w/ coilover sleeves

Talon has 280 Cams, BC Springs, Polished Head, GM MAF Translator, APEXI SAFC2, FIC 650cc's, AFPR, 3" Downpipe & Exhaust, CAI, ARP Studs.

So my big dilema is which car to build for what. I want one for autocross type events and then another for drag racing.

I know there are a lot of limitations to the 90 transmission otherwise it would be a no brainer to build that for drag and use the FWD for autocross. Obviously I could swap the transmission to a stronger manual 92+ manual and have it "dogboxed" eventually but I haven't been able to find any newer manuals for sale. I dont have an end goal for the drag build I normally just keep adding power and fixing whatever keeps breaking. I am guessing it is pushing around 300hp maybe 350 and have read thats about the limits of the transmission. I kinda like the old school set-up of the car with the MAF Translator and APEXI. It reminds me of playing around with these cars as a kid back in the early 2000's. But if I keep this car as is and use it for autocross then I am looking at using the FWD for drag racing and I'm not sure how far that will really take me. I know other platforms without the AWD option can be made fast but there seems to be a lack of parts to build FWD transmissions to hold high horsepower but I could be totally wrong and just not finding the right info.

Also whichever car I make into the drag car I would not be using as a street vehicle so there may be more options for traction like a solid spool diff
