ya i like working on my own stuff too.. but im not skilled enough to tune anything LOL. maybe if i messed around with it for awhile i could ###### figure it out. but i rather not chance anything. ya we got alot of 240s and there is this nice 08 skyline rolling around here its super sexy. :rocks:

ya that is funny but that skyline is silver with gold rims on it and its sick.. dude has dumped alot of money into it and hes really young too. :talon:

nah i think his daddy is ###### super rich or something.. i just cant wait to get my car done so i can spank the skyline haha.. it will be hilarious ill have one of the fastest cars in town.. woot go me :beatentodeath:

I didn't know that the new GT-R's came with gold wheels. I read that if you replace the wheels on the new GT-R that it upsets the balance of the car, not to mention that it upsets the ECU on those cars. I think that's why even MINE's new GT-R still has the stock wheels on it. That thing is a beast though

he did change his rims on the skyline that the dude drives around here. he has 18's in the front and 19s in the back and it looks sick.. full tein suspension upgraded fmic, forged internals, ect.

You sure? I wasn't aware they were even making aftermarket products for it yet. No one really wants to touch it. Something about it voiding the warranty on a car that costs 89k. Doesn't sound too enticing.

If you check out "Andysautosport.com" they have a bunch of different aftermarket parts, body kits, hoods, fenders, etc. Just throwing it out there.

I'm sorry Supreme but it just sounds super crazy to find those parts for that car that quick. I don't mean to start an arguement, but it just seems so unbelievable

Here are the stock specs for a 2009 GTR

http://www.autotropolis.com/car.review/2009/Nissan/GT-R/specs.htm

Mine's worked feverishly to get their parts ready for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2008 which was only in January of this year. Even Nismo just recently stated their product line for the car with the tune to about $50,000 for everything. The Mine's car was tuned and also cost around 50k in terms for the parts. That video I put up was from the testing they did for Road and Track. You can see the full article in the past month's issue, the one with the cover of the new concept S3000

For the wheels, the GTR already comes with 20's on it from the factory, so in essence that would be downgrading to 18's and 19's. I wonder if that size would even fit around the 15 inch rotors. Even some of the Japanese tuners that do put wheels on the car seem to be using wheel fitments based off the new Nissan 370Z.

As for the Tein suspension, they don't even have a listing for any suspension componants for the new GTR.

As for the FMIC and forged internals, not even the top tuners in Japan have began to open up these motors and tweak them due to the sensativity of the stock ECU. Like I said, the Mine's car with just their own ECU and exhaust managed to make the car jump from 480HP to 550HP. Powerhouse Amuse has their GTR to about 611 horses.

There are Japanese Tuners building the cars, but a lot of the products seem to be more cosmetic than power. Some of the tuners that I've seen are Mines, Powerhouse Amuse, HKS, Garage Defend, Sunny Auto, for example. A lot of those cars seem to be built based on ECU tuning and bolt on parts alone. Some of the cars also have done just aero parts.

This is the only reason why I can't fathom believing how tuned said GTR you've seen is. Now if there were pictures and dyno sheets I'd take back everything I said.

Now I don't think that it's impossible to start doing internal modifications and upgraded parts on the new GTR, but I think it's gonna pop up in Japan before anywhere else in the world.

Just my 2 cents on the GTR subject. Also to the person that posted just above me, there isn't anything on that site about any new products for the R35 GTR.

Sorry about the long post, it just seemed to bother me so much about that GTR thing.

I really do like your Talon though, super clean and great build from what it sounds like.

next time you should write a newspaper article on the gtr but i can take some pictures of his car and ill ask him for his dyno sheets also. :thumb: !!! if i see him tonight running around ill stop and get the pictures and what not from him. and thanks for the comment on my car. just cannot wait to get my new motor in. ..

There are a few gtr's with upgraded turbos already...

SP engineering has a vid of theirs with a single upgrade and it sounds SICK!

ya the gtr has new body style has been out for about what 2 yrs now i think? so its nothing new really. :beatentodeath:

Two in japan, a few months in the states. Got the eclipse back on the road today. Had a few problems other than the HG though. PCV and the hose coming off of it was shot. Don't know why. Now it's doing this crazy hard backfire at like 12 psi and I'm getting some boost creep. Time to post and ask the tuners...

Hey man, I hope I didn't offend ya with my post :D. I'm not really into the GTR scene but just remember reading about how that car was made to be really complicated to tune via aftermarket. So I just did a little bit of research and had to post it up afterwards. Thanks for understanding where I was coming from.

Now I can't wait to see what comes from your car man. God I wish I had a turbo model.

Sell the n/t and start looking :p

I would sell the NT, but its my DD (The CRX isn't street legal anymore) I'm saving some bread right now in order to get another car. Ramen is my friend when it comes to helping me save $$$$

hmmm dunno what is wrong with it crimson.. that sucks though but atleast you got that hg done with though.. they can be a pain. !!!! LOL on the ramen.. what kind you eating chicken or beef? i think that beef is the best and ill get those pictures posted up asap he was not out saturday so ill see him tomorrow i think at the shop..

Beef FTW LOL. I usually only eat 1 a day. At about $3.00 for a 24 pack, I can usually last for almost a month. I do eat regular food with my family, but this ramen thing has actually helped me lose weight so I try to watch what I'm eating and usually just eat a little bit with them as well. Luckly since I do a lot of club promoting and DJ setups, my partying is free along with free bottle service so no money goes to that. Sorry to get so off topic

To Crimson, hope you get your car running right again. Sucks to hear when a fellow DSM'ers car is not behaving. I swear that DSM's are good cars that like to be treated bad. The more you push them, the more they give and behave but as soon as you baby them, they whine and give you problems. Sounds like a lot of women LOL

LOL i have to agree on the whole baby our cars and they wine and break topic.. im going to manhandle my new motor to the max.. i plan on abusing it all day long.. LOL :beatentodeath: !!! ramen noodles get old i used to eat them all the time also but it just got nasty after awhile.. LOL :rocks:

ya i just paid for the motor the other day so now all i got to do is wait. this guy in my town has a motor that im going to pick up on friday to use until my built one comes in.. :thumb: and its pretty cheap so ya LOL... hoping to get the car back on the road by about monday.. we have had some beautiful weather and its driving me crazy not having my car. :notgood:
