Aight guys i have a 95 eagle talon and it needs a front bumper. Should i just find a factory front bumper and put it on there or should i start the 2gb eclipse conversion on the car? Im having problems finding a talon bumper anyone got any resources? i checked ebay and all that and it got me nowhere. if anyone has anything laying around i would be interested and if i can get it in red that would be great. I currently have the 2gb black housing eclipse headlights on there. Will the talon bumper still work? Im also in need of some new rims. The car is red and i was wanting to do a red and black theme so i was thinking of some black wheels with a red lip but im not to sure of which ones to go with. Help me out come on!!! I dont want the rims to be to aggressive. I also have a coilover kit on the car so i can lower it. Well all help is appreciated thanks
 
aight ill take a look at it. im in dire need of a new bumper as you can see... LOL i got plenty of money so thats not a problem. what you think about for rims?
 
wow im on the website and this one is used but if you go to the 2g new parts they have it brand new from the manufacture for the same price because its on sale. i think im going to have to jump all over this one. cant wait until it gets here so that i can install it.
 
ya that bumper is sick i just purchased it from that link that you gave me i figured that i would jump all over that. im looking at a couple of rims for it my friend that i have known for a long time owns a shop so i get some very good deals on parts for my baby..

Since you have the eclipse headlights, might as well get the bumper. I just got a brand new 97-99 bumper from ebay shipped to my door for like $105.

The talon bumper will work with those headlights, you will have a slight gap in between the inner bumper and the lights.

I got my bumper from: eBay My World - qualitydiscountcarparts

Came in like 3 days, primered and fits like a glove. Every hole is drilled just like factory, no defects.

Gotta love a bumper that's made in taiwan
 
I was seriously impressed with the fitment and how everything is factory like.
 
It's amazing how in Canada it is the complete opposite. People will pay up to $300 for an oem 97-99 eclipse bumper. Yet the 97-98 Talon bumpers people literally throw them away.
 
I bought a new 2gb bumper from those guys from ebay too. As someone else said, its an exact replacement to stock, the only difference is it has a triangle where the emblem goes rather than the mitsubishi outline.
 
I sold my 98 Talon front bumper, I hated the big WWF type Eagle logo in the front. I have a 2Gb Eclipse front bumper, a 2Ga Talon rear bumper with the 2Gb Talon high rise wing and I haven't found for 2Gb side skirts yet.
 
The Talon bumper is amazing! Otherwise just do the 2GB conversion if you couldn't find a way to get the Talon bumper.

As for rims trust me just use them or get the GSX factory wheels that have 10 spokes and just paint them. If you go up to 18's like I have you run a good risk of cracking with pot holes and such. I have cracked two just take my word for it.
 
I didn't like the 97-98 talon bumper either. I always laugh when i see people drooling over it, i just gave mine to my buddy in trade for a cf hood...It's too body kit ish for me.
 
Um I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure the 97-98 talons did come with sideskirts.

What kind of rims do you have, I have 18" alba's on my N/T and I've never had a single crack...

NONE of the 97-98 talons had side skirts. Some people have them LIKE ME...but thats cause I took them off a 1995 and put them on my 1997 :)

And for all you guys throwing away the 2GB Talon bumpers you're CRAZY?!?!? These are Incredibly RARE and will continue to get even MORE rare.

I would NOT turn your Talon into an Eclipse.
Eclipse's are all over the place. I think in 20 years the TALON will be WAY more RARE because EAGLE doesn't even exist anymore. The 2Gb Talons are going to be worth MONEY in the future!!

I have spare 2ga Talon Bumper/s and spare 2gb Eclipse bumper/s if you need anything.
 
ya well i ordered the 97-99 talon front bumper from dsmgraveyard.com and cannot wait for it to arrive. and as far as rims goes my friends shop has a sale going on right now and i just bought that last pair of rims that they had. They are the black and silver 5 zigen fn01rc's. I bought 17x8 +25mm offset. They going to look sick and i cannot wait to have them installed. I will update my profile here in a little bit and i will get some new pictures so that you guys can see how the car is coming along.
5Zigen FN01rc's these are the rims that i bought from him the pictures are actually taken in his shop LOL. Let me know what you guys think!

Don't get me wrong I love Eclipse's too. I used to have one for 8 years ...I just hate to see a good 2g Talon being taken apart to be turned into an Eclipse :(
You could just sell it to a Talon lover and buy yourself an Eclipse! Around me TALON's are pretty Rare I never see any. I have YET to find one in a junkyard.
