Depends if you have the money, if i were you I'd go for the first one, because It's aluminized steel, its mandrel bent, and it comes with a magnacore high flow cat and muffler. They second one has no cat/straight pipe, unless it just eliminates it completely which may or may not be the idea, dunno theres not much descript. If your looking for a better cheap solution i'd goto a local muffler shop and have them make you the pipes, get your own muffler and high flow cat.

Ive read a lot of posts on here talking about the second one there, i heard it is actually really good quality and fitment is good but the 1st one is a full turbo-back.

That's the biggest difference in those two products. One replaces everything from the O2 housing back, and the other is just a cat-back. I'm looking at the the 1st one myself, and others who own it like the fittment and quality. The one thing they mentioned about it was that there is no mounting bracket on the DP, and if you don't want your ex. mani.-to-head studs carrying all the weight of the mani+turbo+O2 housing+DP, then you need to have a muffler shop or someone (yourself?) with a welder fab one.

the first one looks better but it is a no name ebay brand so you might not get the throaty not loud sound that you want. for that you will probably have to use a name brand

Going from the stock exhaust to a 3" exhaust will make a huge difference in the exhaust sound no matter who makes it. Just adding FP B28 and porting my mani and turbine housing made a noticeable difference in the exhaust sound. But I have no idea what he really wants his car to sound like.

I'd throw up a lil more money and buy a used thermal or apexi or HKS, soemthing thats been around for awhile and is known for thier quality

Hi, i'm ready to buy my catback and have pretty much narrowed it down to the 2 budget systems below. From everyone's experience which would be the better deal. I would like a throaty, but not loud sound, but enough to know an exhaust is on. Which is the better quality also for the harsh Virginia winters? Thanks everyone.

In my opinion best bang for your buck is having it done by a shop. One of my buddies had his muffler already so it was useless to buy a catback, he took some pics of mine, and took it to a shop, 80 dollars later, and at 3in, he has his done... to quite it down I would suggest a resonator... the longer the resonator, the quiter it would sound, till you floor it that is... that is how mine is, as well as my buddies... but I spent more than he did... I bought the Apex N1 catback... :notgood: Grrr...

there is a Review in the "reviews" section on the second one posted.

the guy liked it a lot.

I didn't mean :notgood: on the Apex N1, its super, I love it, just sucked that my buddy got the same results at hundreds lesser... the way I see is that I payed for a label...

For all of the DSM's ive had...ive never bought anything else but Apex'i...but thats just me...
the only other one that i would buy for a bit cheaper is the Megan Racing...a used catback thats not beat up is the best value...but try and aim for high quality...i donno its up to you...good luck

Rubixphx your car is phat. Props :thumb:
