Sup guys... I posted about how Ive been having troubles with my idle a few weeks ago and said i was gonna sell my 2g esi nt and looked at a few dealer eclipses and found they were junk for what they wanted. I figure i could spend that money on my car and make it nice and fast. I know modding the 420a can get expensive but where should i start? Im getting the suspension taken care of soon. I have new control arms and ball joints on the way, wheel bearings will be ordered in the next few days. I dont make alot so an all out buy and what not wouldnt be easy. So Id like to take it one step at a time

Well, before you consider modding I would take care of ALL the problems your car has now, Including a compression test just to see if you have a good baseline to start modding (Especially a 420A).

1) Once everything is up to par, you can than consider your power goals....
If your power goals are high than I would go turbo (low boost, unless you want to do internals)

2) If you are looking for somewhere around 200hp and nothing special, I would just keep it all motor (less problems) and do internals for high compression and various bolt-on's (exhaust manifold, cams, valve springs, e.c.t.)

3) Or, since you said you wanted to go "Super Fast"...You can do internals (beefier rods and pistons (not too high compression) and go turbo you you will be able to achieve higher boost... This is a very expensive route to go.

It all depends on your power goals, time and of coarse your wallet.

#3 is the most expensive route to go, for the money involved in that I would just get a 4g63T eclipse and build off of that. It will be much easier.

So you should really take some time out to consider what power goals you want to reach for because "Super Fast" doesn't really describe much LOL.

Lol i understand.. I just said fast though. Id just like it to be something that will hold its own on the street and still have the reliability of a daily driver. Id probably wanna go for the turbo route since thats mainly bolt on correct? I dont have the time to be tearing apart the engine and building it all since it is like i said my daily driver too.
