Where to get DSMLink cheap?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Usually you can find someone selling it in the classifieds for a bit cheaper.

the word cheap diminishes quality and based off of my experience dsmlink is not "cheap"..... not trying to be a ass just saying...

I did that found one vendor i used for years and he still beat the others i contacted even one i spent thousands with so far and still i saved a lot i was pretty impressed even shipped.

i foudn this right here..:Import Evolution

now i have a question, when i buy this do i just plug it into my ECU Plug? i was told i have to send my ecu somewhere, but im not sure where and why?

If you have a Non-eprom ECU; you can't use ecmlink.. unless its a 1g and you get it converted.. (im pretty sure only 1g non eproms can be converted) and if you have a 2g; you NEED a eprom ecu..

With this eprom ecu; You then can send it to someone WITH the chip you get when buying dsmlink to someone to get installed.. Then once the ecu is back with the chip installed, you can then run the wire from the OBD port to a laptop and boom; You can start tuning.

... thanks for the info guys...

but alright, where or how to get an EPROM ECU? and also to who do i send it to? any place in specific?
--sorry im new at this--

i see they're for sale in the classifieds, but would i want it new, or it doesnt really matter?

i will try ECMtuning, but i want to get the right stuff, i dont want to go through the headache of shipping back and forth..

by the way i own a '98 GST, if it helps..

EDIT: I didnt see the ECMLink-LINK *Snowboarder* posted which takes me to the answers to my questions..
I appreciate the help guys, now time to read & hopefully ship!.. :)

Thank you all..

They sometimes offer deals on socketing an ecu when you buy a new package. so keep your eyes peeled and ask around. you never know till you ask. just a thought

Even link itself can be cheaper if you already have a eprom. Besides vendors here it can be purchased elsewhere also.
