Dsmkauai lives in Hawaii so i doubt he'll fly over and race ya..haha

You pretty much came on n called richard33 out (he runs in the 9's bro)

I told ya I'll buy your entry fee if you come race me and win (in my slow heavy 2g auto x car) and im them slowest out of all these guys...if you win I'll come and proclaim how bad ass awd is. Even though i own 3 awd cars..LOL

Deff not a built drag car

No I called out the platform of FWD itself not anyone in specific, Its inferior platform imo, and I'll race you, I was confused I thought that was you :thumb: You don't have to pay me or anything I would come and race just for fun, sac is on the way to where I can go rally driving so its perfect.

Actually if were all honest he called me out because I was talking about the FWD platform not anyone in specific, but anyways I would race anyone within a reasonable distance of me... But if someone else wants to drag race me and prove the FWD platform you gotta show up the same day as me and pipnorcali because I will more then likely not go to a drag strip after that anytime soon, I dont really enjoy drag racing as much as other options I have.
How much boost are you running pipnorcali?

Dsmkauai scratch that racing offer, but if i'm ever in Hawaii Ill be sure and hit you up for a race.

Well no, what my original post stated is a fact, but i'm not going to argue with people who are flaming me about how there fully built drag car is an awd killer... I will race and prove my point like stated, there's no use in trolling like YOU are. I am talking about FACTS your just saying i'm a troll with no knowledge or any facts behind your post, and yes it says my turbo is ported but what does that have to do with me thinking i'm the only one who can port(especially since It says it wasn't me) I said I could match his power level with his small 16G which I still think I can... But that's just bench racing so I will take it to the track and see what happens, either way i'm not a drag racer nor do I really care if my car performs greatly in a drag race because I know for a fact he wouldn't have a chance on the track or rallying.(what my car is built for)

Did you find any of the numerous 7 second FWD vehicles you were going to look for on the interweb??

So you think what you said
The FWD's are behind the AWD's where they will stay until they do an AWD SWAP
is fact?? How in any way, shape, or form is that fact?

You have still failed to see the accomplishments of all of these FWD's in this thread that have done amazing things even after giving you a day to read the thread since you failed to do so the first time.

Since when do you have to be AWD to rally?

Checkout 9!'clipseDOHC he has been running several rally events with his FWD and kicking butt! I wouldn't go to his build thread and tell him until he does an AWD swap he will remain behind all the AWD at the same event. This seems to be your logic son.

See I dont know if i should even respond to this because it doesnt seem like you understand english very well, yes i found a full built drag honda that hit 7.99 with frame, roll cage, and shell work... Not very impressive imo but impressive if you factor in that its FWD... I never said FWD CANT rally...WTF  I said awd is better/faster. (The platform AWD VS FWD) I read about a 6 second cobalt (FWD) But it was a full drag car gutted, frame work, body work, etc... Again Impressive, for a FWD... But I still stand by my post that RWD>AWD>FWD And why do you insist on calling me son? Do you have some missing kids roaming around the world that are my age? Do you even know my age? How can you state something that I did not state and then claim "This seems to be your logic son"? It seems to be what you made up inside your head. :hmm: His FWD doesn't race against AWD cars, its a different class... You should know that dad.

Im running 18 psi ...
you just came in to tell us awd is better idk why
most people start out rallying fwd cause the awd classes are full of high dollar race cars anyways

the thread isnt fwd vs awd its fwd racers

Lets not crowd this FWD thread with nonsense please. I have Subi's and a couple Evo's scared around my way. It's about the setup & tune.

Let the guy have his shine when he smashes a serious FWD owner. Until then, let it go. Don't make this guy famous for misguided internet words.

Its funny how you are talking about 7 sec cars as not being impressive cause they have roll cages and chassis work. Show me a 7 sec street car with no cage LOL. Sheps AWD 7 sec car is a gutted race car with a cage and chassis work probably more so than those hondas.

I feel like you have came into another thread saying this same thing before. "Rwd>AWD>FWD"

The guys a douche and is just tryin to troll. Aside from him we all have much respect for each other and the pride we take in our fwds.

The new weld wheels are 17"x4.5. They have a 2.25" back space. The tires are an M&H 26"x4.5x17" I haven't bought the matching fronts yet. I'm running a lesser weld wheel. They are 15x9 with I think a 5.5" backspace. Right now I'm rolling 24.5x8.5x15". I did have at one point a 26x10" on these wheels with no issues.

LOL

In seriousness thats very helpful though. I just want to be dead nuts on if I'm trying to fit 26x10 thats gonna grow with speed.

If you stumble on a receipt or something to verify that, you would be performing a massive service for the rest of us 1G FWDs. :thumb:

I have a set of 4.5BS 16x8s and they are just awful. Fronts stick an easy inch past the fenders with not nearly enough tire to justify it. Rears are almost as bad. I'm thinking the 5.5BS on 15x9s to run the 26x10 slick or 6.0BS to tuck a 24.5x8.5?

Desperate to find what I need to cram as much tire up front with minimal poke and still clear a stock style spring perch

Heck no dude. The 8.5s still stick out. I hate the wheel combo I'm running up front. It's so bad I have to run a 1/2" x 3.5" long wheel studs. I have a spacer and the weld drag lite wheels have at least a 1" thick flange. When I switch the fronts to match rears ill lose at least 1/2" length of studs. Then I plan on a custom wilwood setup to move the caliper back more. We will see how the new wheels fit when I get them.

nice. I need to get my wheel setup situated. I hate rolling around on miss matching stuff.
This is where I'm at to. I have the drag lites on the front and has the summit stars on the rear. Looking forward to getting the matching fronts to the rears I just got.

Your mature, :thumb: call me a douche because i'm correct... I didn't flame and am not going to continue a 12 year olds thread flame war. :rocks: :applause: :applause: If you want to prove me wrong then try some facts.

We are 12year olds now for stating facts. Who would've known.

wow, this turned into a fun thread. This guy comes into a FWD thread bragging about the AWD superiority. Except he doesn't drag race, and he doesn't have a big turbo, and he only races on road courses, so anything we say doesn't matter.
Do a search for 'Greg Collier' and see what you find. Here's a hint- he didn't have a lot of power, he won multiple championships in road racing, and he drove a FWD DSM.

Hey guy find another thread to shit on, you're being worthless to this topic.

working on tucking 15x11 6.5 backspacing here shortly.... alot if front knucles grinding LOL.

Big difference between the 1g and 2g. I don't even think a 6.5 backspace wheel will clear the strut on a 1g.

I have the wheel off I'm gonna get some measurements today.

Ok my weld draglites are 15x9" with a 5.5" backspace. Here is a pic of how much more room I have with my setup. Looks like I can go with a 6" back space and maybe a 6.5" with minor mods. This is with the suspension at full droop. I will have to compress it to see what changes.

Heres also a pic of my crappy hub setup to be able to run the weld drag series.

Another thing I just found out that is the ATI damper I bought has provisions to be able to run a shank off the pulley so I can run the mech pump right off the pulley. Looks like no huge electric pump for me ;)

This gives hope to my plan for fitting a 26x10 MT ET slick (PN: 227-3053) on 15x9 5.5BS.. the compressed numbers are whats going to make or break that though LOL

Were you running a tube in your 26s?

I bet he runs a 14., hahaha

Hey now.. I may resemble that remark till I get shit sorted. Boy is it going to be embarrassing my first few trips out to the strip with the new setup. With any luck I'll redeem myself in June with a respectable half mile Trap/ET :sosad:

The 540whp (dynojet) M6 I lined up with first round trapped mid 160s last year, and my buddies 400whp (also dynojet) Maxima ran low 150s.

Then if budget allows turn up the wick for round 2 in October.

^ slick or radial? I and many others run the hossier qtp's 26x9.5x16 and I have to say they are perfect for the fwd trans. I can hold first to right after the 60' and then run out 3rd to the finish line. You couldn't ask for a easier setup than that (unless auto LOL). To only have to make 2 shifts is awesome if you ask me! I'm a shifter for life!!
