Where am I leaking from? (Pic Heavy)

It only leaks after it has been on and turned off. I have no idea where it's coming from. As it is all over. Most oil stains in ground (homeowners won't be happy xD but idgaf) are on the passenger side, behind the wheel. But then again there's not much drip on other side but that has a lot of visible oil. The top end is clean, it looks like a rebuilt head, no oil coming from top end. The oil I think is motor oil? I have a pic but it's all over the transmission as well. 94 GSX. Below I have included pictures and my oil board, the cardboard is 1 hour of sitting under the car after it being driven for 1 hour. And how bad of a leak is this?

How do you expect any of us to tell you where this thing is leaking when the whole thing is covered in oil. Go get some purple power, clean that thing up than take more pics.

It can start in one place then work itself all over grab some brake cleaner or something and began to clean it up, it maybe a easy task to find once that's done.

+1 on cleaning it, I was leaking from my oil pan gasket and didn't know until i cleaned it.

Mines leaking now from the oil pan gotta grab a new one and install it oil is everywhere .

Might want to look in to a UV dye kit for your oil. The 6-pack of oil additive is $27 on Amazon and a good UV light is $11. This stuff is basically magic. You'll have a really good idea of the source(s) if you use it.

Waste of money. If you just clean it up you will see where it is coming from. I have been doing this for a long time and have yet to use or need that stuff. That is only for greasy nasty engine that you don't intend on cleaning ever.

Hahaha, not flipping you off, but not the first time I've had a nasty chunk of fluid on that finger.. if you know what i mean... unfortunatly... Just cleaned it up with all purpose degreaser, helped a bit, will throttle body cleaner do the trick?

Why would you use carbon cleaner on grease. Buy some purple power. It is the best cleaner that you can buy from a retail store. If you use that and an old tooth brush than it will clean all the grease off, not just some.

Just be careful if you're using degreaser around your alternator. I would use electric connector cleaner on the alternator if you're going to clean it.

I would say you have MULTIPLE leaks from that much coverage. On the driver side, I'd guess cam shaft seals or the crank seal. But as it's been stated, you won't be able to tell for sure until you spend some time cleaning everything first.

The one thing that wasn't stated by anyone that may just be that obvious, is don't drive it after you clean it. Run it up to operating temp while its in place. Shut the car off, lay underneath and just wait.

I found three seperate leaks in my jeep like this. I tried for a week straight to clean it and dd the thing while trying to find it, never did like that. It would juwt blow all over everything I just cleaned.

I disagree.....I have found UV dye very helpful on finding oil leaks ON CLEAN MOTORS, in THIS case absolutely clean it.

OP; common places for oil leaks, oil Pan, oil return line, Valve cover, Axle seals....maybe your tranny case? There is A LOT of oil and its hard to tell from your pictures, Clean it and see where the fresh oil is coming from, other wise just change ALL of the seals....by the looks of things might not be a bad idea.

Another thing you can do is at some spots you can stuff a rag or towel (as long as its not interfering with any moving parts) right under suspected areas and let the car idle up to running temp. This helped me find some leaks by the valve cover and the factory turbo oil supply blocked off at the head.

Yes oil leaks can be a pita to find, everyone has a way of doing things, amazing how somethings work for other people i never used the stuff but clean up that mess. oil pan gasket leaks in the block, the vc, the cas oring, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, turbo return, for the oil, etc a lot of places for a oil leak.

So i cleaned it all off... ran the car for 20 mins at idle... shut it off, then waited 20 mins... no drips.... wtf... could it be that the drips were just all that oil coming off? because i changed my oil a week and a half ago and I'm still at the same level i was...

Well now its back, i will get pictures when I get home, my oil pressure gauge is usless as it will be not working at all, to middle to random positions, could it be the oil pressure sensor?

oil pan gaskets leak pretty bad. I put a cork felpro gasket in mine but it still leaked. I took it to a local shop and they put some for gasket maker on it that comes from mitsubishi. Haven't had it leak yet. Also the valve cover gaskets are known for leaking at least in my experience. Also if you have a breather on your valve cover vent it will leak oil. My whole engine/transmission is covered in a light coat of oil because it comes out of the breather. good luck no your leak searches.

It looks to me like it's leaking from the OFH on the backside of the sandwich adapter as well as around the oil pan. If you just did an oil change and didn't replace the crush washer around the drain plug it can also leak from there and at speed the air passing under the car will throw the oil all over so it looks like it's leaking from your suspension components, as well as everything else. If it looks like it's leaking from the bell housing of the transmission it could be the rear main seal which means dropping the transmission.

I find it amazing that no one's said it thus far but OP you said you have a 94 gsx but the car in your profile pics is a 95-99, probably a 97-99 since it has the 2gb bumper. Some 2ga's were actually marked as '94's, I went to a junkyard a few years ago and found a N/T 2ga that had '94 owners manuals from the dealership in the glove box and it had a late '94 build date. But, that's besides the point since most of our DSMers here have more than one DSM in their driveway.

used to have a 97 gst. I don't see why people would be assholes about that... oh right.... Im to lazy to switch the pics. I think my first step of attack is replace the fuel pressure sensor, but right now im going to lift it up, run it, and wait till it drips, to see exactly wjhere its coming from
