leaking coolant but from where?

last night i was cruising around with the friends, well i turned on the heater cause it was getting a little cold. well a little bit longer while driving around, the temp of the heater coming out was getting colder and colder...and i was like wtf? so i got home and this morning i went to go to krispy kreme and my coolant light was on ...and i got home and looked inside but there wasn't any coolant. so i refilled it and w/e and its fine for being only moved 3 ft. i look where my head meets the block and on the lower left part ______________ looking on to it

i could see some type of liquid on it. so i wiped it off and im gonna see later if any more comes out of it. Do you think HG could be bad? I replaced it in june when i rebuilt the head but i think i might have bent the edge of it when i laid the head on it. i couldnt get the head w/ both manifolds on it at the same time on each side...it was kind of tilted.

help plz...i dont want to blow the engine...well not until next may...i think in a month ill redo my hg and reset my timing and balancing belt becuz i might have (well i didnt do that my dads friend did) gotten the belt off by a tooth.

Fill it and see how fast you're losing it. Also wipe it down and let it idle, then look around. I thought I had a HG leaking but it was acutally a coolant line that runs from the side of the block to the firewall having a loose clamp. It leaked JUST right that it freaked me out after my HG/motor rebuild. Check those things and note how much you're losing how fast. That will help us figure out what is wrong.

all right i will...im gonna spray off the engine at the carwash and see if i can find anything after a couple of hours of running it...ill reply either today or tomorrow....stupid work gets in the way of things

edit:...no smoking besides my really really really rich smoke out of the exhaust...and no steam or anyhting from the hood....and not mixing in oil....not that i can see...u can see it from lifting the oil fill cap off right?....i need to go buy a chiltons....

the bottom of my radiator is ate up and seeps coolant. its not enough to drip, doesnt look wet, just looks like its moist in the seam on the bottom, coolant light comes on once a month and i fill it back up
