To the block! Rotate it over against the block, push-up on the axle at the pillow block and you should find one threaded hole at the right bottom side(looking at fiewall side of the motor from under the car) of the AC compressor bracket, the other threaded hole is to the right of that hole.

is there a difference between a 1g and 2g a/c bracket because i am finishing up with a 6 bolt swap. and if i have the threaded holes that you are describing right it ends up pulling the axel out about a 1/2" or so and it ends up leaking trans fluid.

I have no insight into your bracket question? Push the axle into the trans, rotate the pillow block bearing to touch the block and the right threaded holes on the block should line up with the holes on the bearing arms.. If not, where did you get your six bolt block?

I got the block from a local import engine shop. know a guy that works there they had an abondoned motor (no one can to pick up)so I bought it. well my questoin about the a/c bracket is do I need that installed to bolt up the axel?

Sorry, my dyslexia can into play reading your first note. If you are doing away with the AC, you will need to either cut the bottom right hand corner off the compressor bracket or make your own spacer from washers and use either as a spacer behind the bearings left arms bolt hole.. The left hand side arm of the bearing housing has to have a spacer between it and the block, same as a 7 bolt..

I made my own spacers with washers between the block and axle. U might have to get shorter bolts too if you took the a/c bracket off completly like i did.
