Whats The Best Way To Run A Vacuum Source To My FP Intake Pipe?

I'm thinking about tapping it but with some of the fitting setting in the pipe, will it cause a small flow restriction or should I say cause it not to have a smooth flow transition(you know what I'm getting at). Or would drilling a hole and wielding a piece on it be better since there won't be anything inside the pipe to cause a change in flow?

Whats the best way?

Pre turbo won't really matter, I've drilled and tapped lines pre turbo and saw no ill effects. You'd interrupt air flow if it were in an intake manifold runner or before the throttle body...

I have a -12 welded to the 4" pipe connecting the compressor inlet to my intake scoop. The line runs to the catch can which has two -10s from the valve cover

Yall think tapping the pipe to 1/4th is too big? Im running 3/8 hoses and all my local parts stores only have 1/4 ntp to 3/8 hose fitting.

1/4th is fine. Think thats what mine is. No ill affects from it protruding in a bit.
