ok i am not sure is this is posted or not, But what is the best shot 2 run with out blowing up ur car..and is is better with the switch or run it thorw the pedal thanks

You sig shows you have a GST. I wouldn't spray your car until every other mod has been performed. Curt Brown ran a 9.4 w/o nitrous.

I have a feeling you'll manage to blow something up even with good advice...

Searching is always a good idea.

?s you need to answer for people to be able to help you
What performance do you want from the car? what money do you want to put into the car? and why nitrous?

i would say no more than a 30-35 shot a turbo motor. Nitrous is gonna equate to alot more PSI on a turbo than a NT

That is true, however completely irrelevant based on his question. This is the nitrous forum, not the "don’t run nitrous because somebody out there went 9.4 without it" forum. Based on that advice nobody on this site should be running nitrous. :thumbdown

Masteer E 25: You can run nitrous on a completely stock GST with no problems, stick to the smallest shot available from the manufacturer. NX Wet kits are the best setup for turbocharged cars and come with a 35hp shot. That will give you about an 60-80hp increase from cooling and increased boost level by over running your stock wastegate.

Well that wut i was gonna do bc i just want it so it can spool up the turbo quicker u know

THe turbo spools up quick enough on your car. If your going to spray its because you wanna take a full second off your 1/4 time. Your not really going to use it on the street for that purpose. Nitrous creates such a huge increase in power once you get going with it that it's not really pratical for "daily driving" it will be more of a track accessory for you.

usually someone else says this, but i'll go ahead and break the news. if you're askign this question you don't need to be putting nitrous on your car...... cuz you'll blow it up

and jim is right. what you want, your turbo to spool at 3000 RPM instead of 3400 RPM? whooppeeee doo, get a smaller turbo, looks like you don't need the power anyways.

actually if hes runnin the stock turbo hes prolly at full spool by about 2500 so i cant imagine he has any "lag" haha.. imo the 800bucks or so your gonna spend on n20 and the accessories i think it could be better spent on supporting mods like exaust, intake, dp, but thats just me

look above... 3rd post ;)

yeah... i agree with the money better spent on supporting mods... cause... as funny as it would be to have you come back witha blown up car.. thats one less DSM i could buy cheap and play with.

like jim said this is a N2O forum-maybe he wants a little more umph with a stock car.N2O is great--of course, i'm an NX N2O dealer! And with some really carefull tuning you CAN put 75hp shot on a stocker. My 600.00 dollar,161,235mi. TSi went 14.57 bone stock-uncork the exhaust add 75hp shot and volia=12.79! Sure surprised that poor sucker in that 5.0  I spend 5 days a week @ drag strip all season long. A small shot of juice is the best way to have some more fun with your otherwise stock ride. For all of you DSMers out there-my new web site will be up soon. Being an autherized NX dealer i cannot advertise @ less than 12% off jobber.I am in the process of putting together DSM systems under my co. name and selling them a little cheaper.(Fast is us Racing) Go ahead and run your N2O-it's a wonderful thing!!! :thumb:

a small shot of juice is also the quickest way to blow up your otherwise STOCK ride if you don't know what you're doing.

like the others suggested, spend your money on something more useful. nitrous is fun, expensive, and in the wrong hands its dangerous for cars. you'll blow it up before you can say shimmilackadingdong lalala (so i'm wiggin out, who cares :p) nitrous isn't a permanent fix, more boost is ;)

if thats the way u think u obviusly don't know the first thing about N2O either.Or really don't know how to use it.with a little common sense, not alot ,just a little, a quality NX nitrous system, follow the directions and reccomendations and your pretty darn safe.Oh yea-the perm. fix statement u made-- :shhh: don't tell that to my 1980 camaro,he runs a sm. blk.+N2O every weekend for the past 3 yrs.;8.48 @167.58mph(and it's street legal) and talking about boost, how do u know about boost??? doesn't your profile say N/T?I've owned, built, and raced no less than 8 single or twin turbo rides. This guys looking for constuctive advice, not N2O haters spouting propaganda. ;)

doesn't your profile say N/T

just because my profile says n/t doesn't mean that i haven't owned my fair share of turbo cars... deciding to do a bit of bashing are we? i didn't say nitrous was unsafe. i'm saying to the INEXPERIENCED n2o is the quickest way to blow up your stock car if you don't know what you're doing. but hell, you being a "dealer" puts you in #1 spot to bash me and think that everyone else knows about nitrous and they can install it and run it with ease, so i'm a moron that doesn't know what i'm talking about. shoot me in the foot pls mr dealer of nitrous =D

actually to the inexperienced a little too much boost is usually the quickest way to toast city. And for the record I DIDN'T say you were a moron. No i don't think every one knows it all about N2O.That's why EVERY ONE of my customers can come to the track any day it's open and i will help them tune their N2O system;for FREE! and i have many happy customers.See u don't know me at all dustyb---I'm not the almighty nitrous dealer man--I'm actually the guy at the track that helps EVERYBODY out any time i can.anyways this is getting off the thread,i'm not here for a bashing bout. just trying to give some advice.Almost anyone can install and run a low hp (35-50)N2O system ,with success, when using a good quality system from a reputable manufacturer, and following the instructions and reccomendations from that manufacturer. ;)
