Whats the best logger?

I just got a MAF setup(not because i need it necessarily, but i got the 3" MAF, the translator and a new filter for only $200). I haven't installed it yet. My car is stock but im planning on upgrading to bigger injectors. I want to get a logger first so i can tune it properly. What would you guys recommend is the best logger for a 1g? Also, keep in mind that im not made of money so i cant pay a ridiculous amount for it, but i dont want to buy a $50 POS logger off of ebay that doesnt work either. Anything will help, thanks.

Well man I wouldn't necessarily say all the palm's on ebay are a POS just gotta watch who ya buy from and their feedback rating and score. I got a Palm m100 NIB for 15.00 shipped got the logging cable from here in the classifieds for 15.00 and I am using mmcd so I got a good logger setup for 30.00 and ppl are paying 100+.

dmc67 - so basically what you are using is the same thing as the dsmloggers.com 1g kit then?

Would you say that that kit is sufficient to be able to tune my maft?

Basically im wondering about in the maft directions where it says "...keep the total trim between 80% and 100%...", what is going to tell me that its between 80 and 100%? ( i hope that question made sense)

I like TMO its easy to use and i already had a cheap laptop so all i needed was a $10 cord so that also helps i guess. Only problem is it like to crash everyonce in a while

Im lookin towards getting that dsmloggers 1g kit but i'm wondering if the m100 palm that it comes with is compatible with my Windows XP pc. And also, since i have a MAF-T, would i need a S-AFC or can i use just the MAFT to tune all my fuel settings and not hit fuel cut?

with the translator, you should be able to sufficiently tune fuel cut out of the picture(as long as you have injectors big enough to handle the amount of fuel you will need).

also, the palm that is sold on DSMloggers.com should work fine with your Windows XP machine... why wouldnt it???

I dont see why you wouldn't be able to tune your MAFT with it. it tells ya what percent your at and you got the settings on the MAFT to tune it with.

and yes a Palm m100 will work on XP b/c I got the m100 and I got XP for a computer
