I have a 94 Laser 1.8. Blew the head gasket and took it into a mechanic to have repaired. The head was cracked so we got a rebuilt head as well. When installing it on the car there appears to be something missing, and because the old head went back for a core, we can't figure out what should be there.
On the firewall side of the engine the is an odd shaped hole with 3 bolt holes around it. The hole is right next to where the distributer bolts into the head. So it's between the distributer and the intake holes.
I'm guessing maybe there was a block off plate or something there. Can anyone help me with this???????????????
