competly rebuilt race engine with 10 miles on it.
.040 overbore,
100 mm stroker crank.
forged crankshaft,
cp pistons,
eagle rods,
arp studs on crank mains and head studs.
stage 2 cams,
adjustable cam gears.
balance shafts deleted.
has 1st gen head on 2nd gen block,
and rewired for hall effect sensor, with cam and crank sensor delete.
has brand new 16g turbo,
custome front mount intercooler,
4inch exhaust turbo back.
fidanza flywheel,
spec stage 4 clutch

Thinking about purchasing it, but trying to justify the buy......

You might wanna read the forum rules. There is no bench racing aloud on these forums. And why do you want a .040 over bore?
 
not trying to bench race, just seeing if i could get some pros and cons from the dsm communtiy to justify me buying the engine and drive train, when i already have a decent set up. the guy is selling it for a good price and im very new to dsm's and just frankly and honestly want honest feed back. is that bad to have .40 overbore?

sorry if i stepped on any toes or broke any rules
 
i do not know to much about the guy, but he has fallen on hard times and is selling his project for a good price..... car runs, everything looks good, sounds good. just thinking if i should put the money into the engine i already own, or buy that and sell mine.... im looking for a 600hp weekend warrior and this setup sounds like it will make that easily. my current car isnt a dd and im not looking for a dd, just want a weekend war machine!!!
 
If you don't know much about these cars I would say your best bet would be to try to find one that's stock or close to stock and build it yourself so you don't have to worry about possibly going back and fixing the PO's mistakes.
 
Anywhere from 150-300hp depending on the tune and boost level.
