1G What would cause fog lights to suddenly stop working?

Assuming that anything is working properly would be a mistake.

I would suggest that you start at one end of the system and work your way to the other.
You could start by testing for power/ground at the fog light bulb sockets. Then move up to the fuse box and check for power there. Then move inside the car, pull the switch out of the dash and connect the two wires together (bypassing the switch).

Or you could do that above list in the reverse order, whichever you prefer.

Fuse? I'm not sure if the fog lights have an independent power feed but that's where I'd start then check fogs for power

Swap relays with a different one as a test. I bet, like Vegas, it has something to do with the relay under the hood.

Assuming the dash switch is good is the first problem.. my fog lights come on if I hold the button but won't stay on by themselves, I asked dsmpartout about a replacement switch but he laughed and said its the first thing to go wrong on 1gs.

I'll swap relays around first and try that, I'm assuming the switch is good because I replaced it YEARS ago (like a decade I guess) because it wouldn't stay down and have very very very rarely used it since (mostly because it wasn't until last year it ever had the factory fogs back on it.
