What will it take for my GSX to be a friends SRT4?

if i recall a "stage" is part of upgrades to make you go faster, so no its not a FnF thing LOL, i was reading about it earlier :) but i usally forget 2 days after reading something haha. 4 Days later i'm still trying to figure out were i put my center piece to my laser LOL...
 
Stage 3? Well, if you are up to speed on the SRT-4 you know that MOPAR has a stage 1 upgrade out. So there are more to come.....

my friend has a SRT4 its pretty fast, He is talking about doing those stage upgrades. I say screw warrenty do what u want :D I'm not a mopar fan, honestly i hate dodge, I own a 98 Dakota that Crysler wouldn't fix. They told me it had to many miles but it was under the warrenty still but they couldn't fix it. I had rust on my front bumper, also told because of the miles they couldn't fix it, the truck was only 2 years old at the time, I refuse to buy another dodge/cryrsler car agian, but i'm happy w/ my Plymouth heheheehehe. :thumb: :laser:
 
whats up guys, i just got a 04 SRT4 and what i found out is:
2003 stock = 220hp est.
2003 stage 1 (injectors & ECU) = 240hp

2004 stock = 230hp
2004 stage 1 (only ECU) = 240-245hp

i have in the srt, AEM intake, AGP UPP, HKS BOV, AGP Block Off plate, Screamin deamon Coil Pack, 8.5mm wires and some other lil stuff. I wonder what im running?
Tring to get a stage 1, but dodge stinks... 4 week wait..
i would like to race my eclipse aginst my srt, that would be interesting.
 
To me, I think the SRT4 looks ugly as poo :\. But i still give them probs cause they are fast for stock and would own my car stock vs stock :D
 
i have a friend that just got a srt-4,.. he ran it at the track that same weekend and got a 14.3@96,... i was really impressed, especially for a stock car. he smoked a 350Z this last weekend on the street too. the guy w/ the 350 said he runs a 13.3,.. anybody know what they are suppose to run(cuz i didnt believe 13.3 for a heartbeat;) ) hes got an intake and a very expensive exhaust.
 
they are fairly close to the honda s2k. i Beleave stock they run. a low to mid 14. I found this out on the track edition, the roadster is a bit slower than track edition. Depends on the driver i wouldn't put it past him, if he ran 13.3 he might be a good driver, but i kinda doubt that if he just hand an intake and exhuast.

I was about to say all DSM's are mopar...But anyways s2k are low to mid 14's in reality 350z low 14's to how 13's. This is all reality folks so yes there may be a freak motor out there but in all reallity thats what they are running.

Oh yeah the srt-4 isnt ugly and is fast it gets my:thumb: , and dont bash your relative cause they are faster than you(meaning the srt4). Its newer bigger engine, turbo, boost, intercooler and more and its only a half a sec faster stock than us. With those similar mods DSM's would own em:D .
 
yeah I was refering a "stage 3" to ricer because the only upgrade that I've heard of from mopar was injectors so wtf is "stage 3"?

Contents of the exact kit havn't been finalized because of model year (MY) changes. (ie 2003 = 220hp, 2004 = 230) They are incorporating some of the changes in future MY. Thus, the "stage" kits available are being further developed.

Stage 3 will exceed EVO power.

I raced a stock SRT-4 with my current mods and got beat. It was from a stop and i ripped him a new asshole off the line, had about 2-3 cars on him then about halfway through he starts creepin and passes me at the end. They can be beat but don't underestimate them. i thought i had it in the bag and i got beat.
 
Bone stock here in Lubbock TX, SRT-4's are running 14.0-14.4. That is pretty respectable considering that there are WS-6's (stock) run 13.6-14.0 at the same track, same day. We really have a high DA altitude here which kills most everyone's times. But I have pulled two SRT's from a roll and from a dig. Not by much, but a win is a win.
 
from what I seen, an awd 1g/2g with minor bolts-ons would be a good race from a stop. But a gst will get walked by a srt-4 unless there's a turbo upgrade in the equation. For a freeway race, reverse everything I just said.

with the mods I have minus fpr and RRE complete ic piping. I walked one from a roll on the highway. We went from a 30 and 60 roll, and I walked him both times. Very quick cars but beatable, from a stop they have the same problems as us yet with more torque so gst could beat them from a stop.

iTS TRUE, AT THE TRACK I LAUNCH RIGHT WITH THEM AND THRU 1ST ITS DEAD EVEN THEN AT THE TOP OF 2ND THEY START PULLNG THE T-25 TSi AND BY 3RD HAVE A CAR LENGTH.

ITS ALL BECAUSE OF THAT 16g THEY ARE RUNNIN/
 
Ive raced several SRT-4's in my time. I hit up the runs often and see them there all the time. They always call me out. My mods are in my profile. Naturally i cant speak stock for stock because my car is far from stock, but my car vs a srt-4 from a stop, i rape him by a good 4 cars by the end. I just put a o2 dump on 2 days ago, and i cant wait to see how bad i will beat them now. I notice a good (at least) 15-20 horse increase from this o2 dump. Once the WG opens and starts venting, my exhaust starts flowin half of what it used to, and My tires jsut ####ing spin. It takes me about a second or two to get traction once the WG starts dumpin.

I estimate with a more accurate tuning i'll be around 280-300 fwhp, which is like 320-330 crank horse.

I raced one from a roll on the freeway too, We didnt get that high of a top end due to traffic that was comming up ahead of us, but lets just say i beat him very easily.

What sized turbos are the SRT-4's runnin stock???
 
a t25 aint gonna beat an srt4.. at least 16g or equivilent.. gotta match up to what its got as well and then some with more supporting mods.. with a GSX from a stop ull own..

Must be pretty high elevation or something, as we have a 99 T/A (auto) and it went [email protected] stock. I've seen 1-2 bolton WS6's go 13.1-13.3 and faster. Most every ls1 I've seen run here gets at least a 13.6.
 
Back to the orignal question.

I'd say hack your BOV tube, pull the BCS restrictor.

better yet get a boost gauge and an MBC.

Open element air filter.

Catback.

Increase air flow to the smic via opening up the air path out of the inner fender.

There are other things you can do...

No spare or jack or any books, crap, jumper cables etc.

What is done now?
Some minor stuff and good driving you it will be close esp in a full 1/4. If you do some more tweeking and tuning you can make it look alot more unfair. Mid 14's are common on modded t25's. The are also comon on SRT's

Now if you could come up with enough mods to pull mid 13s :D

Which has been done on a T25.

I'd get a Evo 16g or a used 14b... something.

Notice the 14b hanging with the 16g and big 16g? Does that tell you that it is alot more than the sum of the parts? Do you see how much slower a t25 is?
 
I raced an srt-4 the other day. I saw him infront of me and we both turned the corner, i went up along side him looking for action. We went at i, i believe we were both in 2nd and i had him the whole way. I was running 16 psi with my basic mods and he never had me. We were right along side each other when we went at it and i slowly and i mean slowly pulled on him, i ened up beating him by less than 1/2 a car length at about 90 mph.
 
A couple weeks ago at the street races I ran against my friends SRT4 and s Turbo II RX7. Right before the race I eneded up cracking the T fitting on my fuel presure regulator where the boost gauge was teed in. The SRT4 also was running some race gas. I had them both 3-4 cars off the the line but at the top of 3rd the neon just rolled on by me like it was even trying. I have IC pipes, bov, hi flow cat and 3" cat back, boost controller and dsmlink. My car was knocking a bit and a little timing was pulled, but those cars are fast. I thought that I would have had him. But you know the good ol T25 just could keep up.

I have beat a WRX when all i had was exhaust on the highway. If your close to stock your AWD wont be putting no 3 cars on a FWD. Either he was auto or couldn't drive for his life. FWD should walk AWD on the highway 99% percent of the time.
